Loved your video, you have clearly put a lot of time and effort into it. I love using scraps almost more than the main fabric!🤣 I liked your tip of sewing the lining down inside the bag before turning. Tell your grandson his prompt worked, I have subscribed.🤩
Thank you for sharing the amazing amount of work and effort in making this video tutorial. Beautiful bag. I’m sure Jake knows just how talented his Grandma is!
Wow … what a beautiful bag .. lots of work and thought went into the construction of your bag .. and it’s absolutely beautiful .. thank you for all your very clear instructions …
I totally agree…not a big deal. We all know what you’re working with. I simply don’t understand the need others have regarding correcting another person unnecessarily. Love your tutorial.
Don’t be judgy when you have it wrong @carlarouse8830. There are not two “e”s in the American version of the word but there ARE in the British version. See Wikipedia- “A selvage (US English) or selvedge (British English) is a "self-finished" edge of a piece of fabric which keeps it from unraveling and fraying.”
Every time you say sAlvage instead of sElvage, it makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck & not in a good way. Also it's everythinG, not everythinK - it doesn't have a 'K' on the end. I'm not a grammar nazi, just an advocate for literacy. I was taught to check a dictionary whenever these issues are raised; it makes you less likely to repeat incorrect or non-existent words in future.
Joanne…are you not aware of that old saying…”If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” Being kind & courteous with RUclips comments is not difficult.
Better never go to the deep south or Tennessee, their grammar and pronunciations would make you crazy. You absolutely ARE a grammar nazi. What do you do in Mexican or Indian restaurants? Give it a rest….you aren’t perfect.
There are plenty more videos on RUclips to watch without verbal instructions. Maybe you would be more comfortable watching those. I was taught to be nice but we all have our crosses to bear. Thank you for watching.
I’m telling Santa that you’ve been a naughty girl .. he’ll bring you lots of coal cuz you deserve it after all your not so nice comments to this wonderful gal …
@@lindafitzsimmons2526my thinking exactly. Thank you for saying what I was thinking. It is so sad when people are so rude. Merry Christmas from Lynda in New Zealand
Carla, since I'm a bit of a grammar nazi myself, have I got a story for you! Those of us who should have been English grammar teachers instead of the vocation we stumbled into, view misspellings and grammar errors as veritable nails on blackboard. After seeing "BORDER" on a couple of different quilting websites spelled as "BOARDER" on the same day, I could no longer contain myself! Forging ahead with abandon, I wrote, "Come on people, we are QUILTERS, and should know the difference between an edge on an object and a person who rents a room where meals are furnished as part of the deal! Especially since the term "BORDER" is used in every quilt book ever written." One would have thought I swatted a hornet's nest with a yardstick. Not only was I admonished for the absolute nerve to criticize another quilter, someone else had to drag out the old, "if you can't say anything nice..." and throw it at me. I attempted to explain myself that I personally would prefer being corrected if I was using or spelling a word incorrectly, rather than continue the misuse into the future. The crowd was having none of it. Obviously, I was not taking into account the possibility that the original boarder-users had com from a disadvantaged background, or might even be persons-of-color. I must admit, I did have a couple of supporters, but the mob was against me. I should BAN MYSELF from commenting on other people's posts lest I crush their delicate feelings! The final assault concerned the possibility that the original poster might be ON THE SPECTRUM! At that point I wisely withdrew from the conversation, after thanking my few supporters for their understanding. So watch your step..... ha

Thank you ☺️
The word, in America, is Selvedges. Not Salvage’s.
Thank you for mentioning that. Spelling was never my strong point.
@@sosewmamab Don't worry about it, it's not that big of a deal.

We do call it selvedges here in the UK too ❤
