In this video you can watch a full Contemporary Technique class at London Contemporary Dance School with teacher Kate Price. Dance alongside our first year students by learning this contemporary Cunningham based technique. Accompanied by Matteo Ricordo.
The majority of students at London Contemporary Dance School study a three year undergraduate programme leading to a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance. The programme is highly intensive, with studio-based work at its centre, enhanced by a range of contextual studies that directly relate to the experience of performing, making, researching and understanding dance. The programme offers the flexibility to specialise in performance or choreography, or to develop expertise in both fields. Students learn a broad base of skills, supported by a range of movement practices and have valuable performance and creative opportunities throughout the programme. As they complete their degree and begin to explore their next steps in dance, students are supported as they graduate into professional employment, independent practice or postgraduate study.

I was terrible, couldn't find my center, my 2x2 meter space was too small and my desk has more flexibility. But I had a blast just moving nonlinearly again. Plus since it was online nobody could really see my mistakes. 8D

it's not so much about courage, cause most people start dancing at at early age where such thoughts are no normal for a child. the fun of dancing at that age transforms into routine as the years pass by, so it becomes normal to aim for perfection. if you look at it with an adults mind it is daunting

I studied here many many years ago , at that time the accompaniment was either congas/ bongos or piano - I find the drumming on a full kit really noisy and too ‘busy’ - it seems more like a practice session for the drummer rather than the dancer - I would not enjoy this - I love the classical Graham approach with a pianist
