I then rubbed it with some cooking oil to feed the rubber. Voila, the leak stopped. I now have a new spare washer in case I need in future but its been a few days now and it has not leaked a drop.

Thanks for this video. I’m sure it helped hundreds of people. I bought the same orange washer sadly my machine is still leaking Any other ideas how to fix it? Thanks again
The are different orange washers. There are some that are more towards red wich are not fixing the problem. But could be that you have some problems inside the machine. The easiest way to see where the problem is to check the top of the back side where the water tank is. If there is water there you still have problem with the gasket.
Exactly where I looked for screws 🤓 Good job and you keep the missus happy 😍 Try a little silicon grease on the seal as well, lucky you didn't damage the new seal! In and out 4 times 😩
Hi Daniel.Thank you very much for your demonstration on water leaking.I have that problem .I did open the back cover as the lever was not staying in position and everything I tried to use the machine,I had to hold the lever otherwise it returned to the centre position.I noticed that the lever bar inside had accumulated coffee residue.I cleaned it and problem solve. When I put the machine together I noticed that the water tank was very stiff to put back in place and water leaked. If I change the "0" ring and the rubber sealer on the tank would solve the leak? Hoping to hear from you and thanks again.
This technique works on the Krupps Oblo as well. I loosened the two screws on either side first but I don't think that made any difference. Super quick to change the seal.
Hello Daniel I a m writing from Lebanon you Dolce Gusto made in Indonesia mine is made in China, where can I find spare parts like this o ring ? thank you if you ever answer
Original p/n is MS-623712. But as you mentioned this is rubber which looses its flexibility properties after time (ages quickly) and water-stone adds to it. The other is made of different rubber that lasts longer and p/n is MS-0907124
