I was a teenager in the early 80’s and this song rocks harder than some of the stuff from the 80’s. If you’re thinking Metallica /Megadeth rock than yeah, it’s not that. I guess it depends on what your definition of what rock is, but I consider this rock and not pop.
Yeah it's all subjective when classifying genres... I think nite good regardless and I'm excited to see what's next from them!
Metallica and Megadeath are both heavy metal, this is more along the lines of Pop Punk Rock like early Paramore.
This is definitely rock. Not metal or even hard rock. But just plain ole rock and roll. With that being said, it's a great song. Good riffs and very catchy chorus. Cool bass and guitar solo as well. They could be the Korean equivalent of Band-Maid. But they have a long way to go. This is just their first original release. Can't wait to see where they go from here.
I agree with this statement wholeheartedly... at first i was expecting to be heavier but regardless im super excited to see what they do next!
They are even better live as check out Azalea. So rare to see this in SKorea being the K-Pop capital of the world. However, more were that came from as my favorite K-Pop group or K-Rock I really should say is Dreamcather. Both are so good and a nice change of pace.
All 5 members are musically trained and studied at various music institutes around South Korea. A couple of the members, including lead vocalist Jayoung, speak English and Korean. A couple also speak Japanese.
That's awesome, I'm always envious of ppl that are multi lingual...Japanese is prolly my closest 2nd lang... But I'm hot garbage at that lol

YES! We know and love Dreamcatcher! I think so far we have seen all their videos... Tomorrow night we are watching their new comeback... im super excited.... it should be up within a few days!
This band is pretty much the seed of hope for the entirety of rock/metal to have a place in the mainstream music industry of Korea. Anything beyond pop rock pretty much doesn’t exist or get played anywhere else other than some niche tiny corners. From what I hear, there used to be some in the 80s but it all died away with Kpop taking over around the 2000s.
Many decently big rock bands can hardly be called even pop rock now coz they had to tone down their sound just to survive. Its a rather gloomy situation for rock there.
So in regards to these ladies I just hope they can stay as rock bands, and looks and production wise be good enough to compete with pop groups.
They pretty much don’t have a choice as no matter how good their rock music is, it still won’t be enough unless they blow up outside.
Hopefully they’ll have the pioneer’s luck and surprise factor as the representative all female Korean rock band.
If they can succeed as a proper rock band then it’d definitely open the way for many more to get signed as far as the labels go.
yeah we talked about that after we recorded the reaction... they are off to a great start but korea isnt really known for its rock scene, hell the only band we could think of at all was Walking After U.... i wish them the best and look forward to the next release!

Ok when I recommended this as a new rock band I should have told you my criteria for rock. 1 did it go harder than a metallica ballad (I would say yah)could you find this on the haunting the chappel album probably not but like you said this is a debut to hit the market I expect big thing with the way Korea has been driving the market there's more room for the little guy to get a break ask Shirley Manson
