That Jayoung girl got some serious pipes on her and this comes from a rock music fan since 10 years old and that was some 31 years ago. This band deserves recognition and more creative freedoms to gain their signature sound. Talent-wise (from what I'm watching and listening to right now) that shouldn't be too long given the right circumstances and full support.
Hopefully RQ is the beginning of Korea waking up and starting to have a bigger rock band scene. I frankly don't know their rock scene well but from what I gather I don't see a lot of bands besides the 3-4 usual suspects (Day6, FT Island, recently ONEWE etc). 6:20 Just nearby, Japan has had a silly amount of incredible rock bands booming "recently" (10-15 years, I guess?). And in almost every flavor of rock. Band-Maid (hard rock), Lovebites (heavy metal), Drop's (blues rock), Scandal (pop rock), Aldious (power metal), Mary's Blood (power metal), Mutant Monster (punk rock), Unlucky-Morpheus-and-whatever-of-all-the-bands Fuki belongs to etc.
There are a lot of rock groups, they just are not very mainstream because the general public does not favor rock in South Korea. It was actually pretty popular up until the 1980s. You should check out BURSTERS, Guckkasten, Crying Nut, and No Brain. There are plenty of other bands too.

I am really happy to have discovered Rolling Quartz. I original watched their covers and was waiting for an original song, I am not disappointed. "Random" is great also. I am looking forward to more from them. I was recommended Rolling Quartz by RUclips , I have learned to trust RUclips since it suggested Band-Maid. If you are interested in Bass and Drums, checkout Band-Maids "Dice" from their official channel. They are a group of 5 Japanese women that play rock. Band-Maids Bassist MISA has many solos. Another band you might like is SCANDAL. They've been one of the most popular pop-rock bands in Japan for 15 years now, with a string of 9 consecutive Top-5 albums in that country going back to when they were still in high school. They don't go as hard or are as technically gifted as Band-Maid, but many of their songs have a very similar sound to Blaze. The evolution of their look over the years has been quite clever (from schoolgirls in uniforms, to rock chick glam, to girl next door, to more alternative). MV's to check out from these different periods include Shojo S, Image, Stamp, and A.M.D.K.J. Scandal do have an important international following, particularly among anime stans, and have had successful headlining tours of the US.

First off, Rolling Quartz has five members: main vocalist Jayoung, guitarists Iree and Hyunjung, bassist Areum, and drummer Yeongeun. The girls have tattoos, piercings, and personal Instagram accounts that allow them to express themselves freely and further prove that they’re outliers in the industry. Though there isn’t a ton of information available about the group online, they are known to have debuted in August 2019 and recently opened up a Twitter account which gained thousands of followers in no time. Any act that’s able to amass such enthusiasm with little music to their name will more than likely fare well and the fact that they bring something different and fresh is more than perfect to make them stand out.
"They're a band, band". This is probably the best description I've heard about these powerful, talented queens. Pretty accurate indeed. No wonder why many InSomnias have turned into Diadem (Rolling Quartz fans) as well, myself included Besides Blaze, RQ have three more original songs (Random, Delight and Rock 'n' Roll Paradise) and many covers, the most recent being a Good Night (Dreamcatcher) cover. I strongly recommend you to check them out^^ In my case I found it kind of difficult to choose a bias: Hyunjung (the blue-haired guitarist and maknae)

I just discovered them weeks ago. I think before they did their live performances. Yeah, someone from twitter post this. This video got me hooked and got excited. Me : wow! K-rock exists! And all-girl band. I love rock genre (but not that hard), and Jrock called Scandal, is the one staning and known for all-girl band. the vocals are chef's kiss and the instrumentals are just... Yes! it's true! Bassists rarely get a solo part. Their other song Random, is currently my obsession. ahaha
Yes! Their other songs and covers are amazing too. Their Dynamite cover was one of the best imo. I recommend checking out "Cherry Filter" too if you guys are interested in some old school K-Rock with a unique female vocalist.

First of all, I'd like to formally introduce how Rolling Quartz came to be. Two separate bands named Rolling Girlz and Rose Quartz met up to meet each other shortcomings. Both were looking for members to fill each spot in the band and they decided to come together to form one band now known as Rolling Quartz. As you've probably noticed, Rolling Quartz got its name from combining Rolling (Girlz) and (Rose) Quartz. The band consists of Arem - Bass and Iree - Guitarist (former members of Rolling Girlz) and Jayoung - Vocalist, Hyunjung - Guitarist, and Yeongeun - Drummer (former members of Rose Quartz). They don't go as hard or are as technically gifted as Band-Maid, but many of their songs have a very similar sound to Blaze. The evolution of their look over the years has been quite clever (from schoolgirls in uniforms, to rock chick glam, to girl next door, to more alternative). MV's to check out from these different periods include Shojo S, Image, Stamp, and A.M.D.K.J. Scandal do have an important international following, particularly among anime stans, and have had successful headlining tours of the US.

First off, Rolling Quartz has five members: main vocalist Jayoung, guitarists Iree and Hyunjung, bassist Areum, and drummer Yeongeun. The girls have tattoos, piercings, and personal Instagram accounts that allow them to express themselves freely and further prove that they’re outliers in the industry. Though there isn’t a ton of information available about the group online, they are known to have debuted in August 2019 and recently opened up a Twitter account which gained thousands of followers in no time. Any act that’s able to amass such enthusiasm with little music to their name will more than likely fare well and the fact that they bring something different and fresh is more than perfect to make them stand out.

Their fandom is called Diadem 👑 Jayoung (the vocalist) is actually a vocal coach and the members were actually in different underground rock bands called Rolling Girls and Rose Quartz and when they came together they took the Rolling and Quartz and made their group name "Rolling Quartz". They also have another songs named Rock and Roll Paradise and Random but Rock and Roll Paradise is only a demo version. First of all, I'd like to formally introduce how Rolling Quartz came to be. Two separate bands named Rolling Girlz and Rose Quartz met up to meet each other shortcomings. Both were looking for members to fill each spot in the band and they decided to come together to form one band now known as Rolling Quartz. As you've probably noticed, Rolling Quartz got its name from combining Rolling (Girlz) and (Rose) Quartz. The band consists of Arem - Bass and Iree - Guitarist (former members of Rolling Girlz) and Jayoung - Vocalist, Hyunjung - Guitarist, and Yeongeun - Drummer (former members of Rose Quartz). They unofficially debuted in August of 2019 and officially debuted on December 30, 2020 with their debut single "Blaze" which it this song you are reacting to right now.
