I’m starting to warm up to my jpx 923 hot meral pros.

I'm always interested in vids like this. My current gamers are forged Honma tw757vx with conventional strongish lofts, ~30 degree 7-iron. I've also got the Taylormade Stealth HD on the other end of the game improvement spectrum, and just picked up the JPX923 HMP. What amazes me, is that with all this talk (and measurements) showing how "HOT" the Mizuno's are, I get very comparable results with all these clubs at my 80ish speed. All of them give me 145-155 carry, with an efficiency in the range of 1.35-1.38 on good strikes. The HMP are definitely nicely forgiving, maintaining more distance on mis-strikes so they'll become my daily clubs.
What I really want to know is, in your experience, are "hot" clubs really fast/long for most people? And compared to what? I've watched a bunch of your vids and it seems like most modern clubs perform pretty comparably on good strikes.

Great vid as always. How about a compare vs 900 HM to see how far/or not Mizuno have come in this type of club?

Good to be back, its been a hard, busy time. Hot Metal vs 225 or would the 225's be better up against the Hot Metal Pro??

@@AskGolfNut whichever matches on loft...then "the tech" is the main objective difference.

Great content 🏌🏻‍♂️. Performance is solid, I wonder how many will be able to resist grabbing a set of these or try and hold out for the forged lol. They look great although I don’t much care for that shiny bit around the perimeter. I know it’s meant to make the top line look slimmer but I prefer a more uniform finish like the i525. Keep up the good work 🙏

Everyone that has reviewed these HL irons have swing speed 90 +. Please demo the HL at 75 - 80 swing speed so we can see the DATA at the swing speed that the HL was made for. Thanks

Another info packed review thanks. These irons fly the only thing might be "controlled" chipping and pitching with these "Hot/fast" faces.

Good point! Probably stop at the PW and use either the Gap Wedge or SW around the green????

Is there any player who doesn't need a thin face iron to transition into when their ball speed fails to make sufficient increase increment? Only difference is if that thin face club is iron-shaped, hybrid-shaped or fairway wood-shaped???

Great review, and clubs…. Maybe time to move up from my JPX 919s.?

I'm also rocking the JPX 919s, the design is very similar (way nicer than 921) and the performance difference is not enough for anyone with a double digit handicap to notice imo 😄

I think if you are running just 1,or 2 models old, then the differences may or may not really be justifiable, depends on what the golfer is looking for. Mainly a release is targeted at people that are ready to change their older set and so by going to a newer iron, they are able to take full advantage of the improvements and also the custom fit nature of brand new 👍

Test them against the PXG 0211 XCORE 2, that would be a great test of 2 awesome irons

I’ve tried them both with the same shaft. The 923’s have more weight to them. It’s easier for me to know where the head is for better strikes. Both of them go a mile. I went with the 923’s.

    • @AskGolfNut

923 the more time I spend with them. Not overly happy about the loft tweaks but thats mainly before the HL model arriving so most people now have a perfectly usable option 👍
