Exactly nothing ground breaking about this iron. Every brand has been putting out 2 irons for the last 5-7 years. I bought the cobra king utility 2 iron a few years ago. It looks fairly similar and offers similar features

Lmfao if I gained 5-15+ yards each year by now I should be hitting it 1,000 yards. I swear the advertising might get beginners but to people who have been playing a long time, every single year it's a face palm. If people really knew most of the stuff comes from the exact same factories.... The only difference the brand name on them. Some are made better. But as a machinist it drives me insane knowing the true cost of clubs. Slap a popular brand name on it and 40$ becomes 300$😂😂😂😂. It's ALL advertising and small minded people that really bite on this stuff. There are people out there that swing like a T-Rex but believe a new club will solve it😂😂😂

@@McVilla1N Well, they have to pay for development and marketing etc. etc. somehow. I don't really consider golf clubs to be expensive, they last you a lifetime after all especially the irons.

250 carry? What's your driver swing speed? I'm at 102 - 105 MAXXC and am hoping for 220-230 total. After I finish my set, I am definitely getting another driving iron, most likely srixon. That mizuno pro fli hi is worthy of a test too

    • @Gl4ssCannon
      @Gl4ssCannon 9 месяцев назад +1

I'm in exactly the same boat. Bought the Srixon 18° and it feels like it should be illegal. It's so easy to hit, easy to shape, and sends the ball like it was shot out of a cannon. It's not quite the distance I get from my driver pr 3w, but it bridges the gap between 3w and 4i beautifully, and I don't see any mis-hit from this club ever going o.b. this side of an outright shank. Exceptional weapon on these super-narrow New England courses.

This line of clubs from Mizuno are stoopid underrated!!! Ive had the original for the past year and half or so and it launches the ball. I've got it in 3 and at hybrid length and I just love it. Easy to hit, both off the ground and tee. Easy to flight as well, can keep it low, hit it high, work it right/left. A hybrid may never go back in my bag, ever again.

Just swapped my cobra driver for a Titleist 1 iron u505. Main difference is the iron is easier to consistently set up at address. Doesn’t how well I got my driver , the bad drives just appear from nowhere and put you in trouble. Where as the bad shot with the iron is just short but in play.

I've had a 2-Iron in my bag for a couple years.

I can understand how accomplished players may benefit from this club. For the mid to high handicap player? Again, some could but not as many. If my driver is a question mark, I just default to the 5W. I find fairway woods do well for my broken-down old self. In fact, I have been considering a full set of those Eleven clubs. A golfing buddy let me hit some shots with them while we were warming up and I was impressed. Even when I was young and playing MUCH better golf, I never used a 2 iron. Those were relegated to the garage odd club golf bag. Club selection is very individual. If it works for you, you like it, go for it. Play your best golf and enjoy the game.

I've also used this in 4 iron and agree it's a really good club. Also agree with davidhudson - wish it was available in a 5 iron. Only issue it that if you hit a bad one on the toe or heel which traps a bit of sand or dirt between the club face and the ball you can't hide the marks if it's gone through the black surface coating. OK - so don't miss it by that much, but we all do sometimes....

No bulge and roll as found on a driver or fairway wood. You have to hit that thing dead center to get performance from it, and have the swing speed to make it work well.
Some of us are not so endowed.
Bulge and roll on a driving iron has already happened. It didn't work. I'm keeping my driver. Maybe a 7 wood in 21 degrees would be better than a driving iron for my swing speed, but I'd still keep the driver.

Try hitting it off the deck which is what irons are used for.
Bet you wouldn’t get the same results

*Do a Renaissance series and try a low profile Browning 440 2 Iron. (Apart from being Petrifying when you're looking down at the head😂), they actually hit a Long way...*

Beautiful golf club. But never in a million years!! 🙂Me? Driver, then 4 wood, and then 3 hybrid. But thats me.

If you already can't hit a long iron, this certainly won't make it easier. Most people would benefit more from a 5 wood.

Shaping a 2 iron is easy. Hitting it straight is something else. I can't remember I ever did... 🤣
