    Perfect, Perfect, Perfect !!!!! Thanks for taking the time to review the HM clubs. Now I know I've made the right decision ordering the HL's. I'll be watching your channel regularly now and hopefully you'll do more golf shaft analysis. We have the exact same swing speed.

    Just the type of input I needed. Moderate swing speed used for comparisons. Went ahead and ordered the HL's, as I too need to get the ball up with sufficient swing and descent angle to stop the ball. And FORGIVING! The HL's seem to have all the ingredients.

    Great test and review. Good to see a test with a swing speed in the mid to high 70's. All other reviews swing at 90 + and we all know that the JPX 923 Hot Metal and Hot Metal HL are built for us slower swing speeds golfers. With all club makers going stronger lofts, us slower speed players just hit low stingers that just won't hold the greens. I ordered the JPX 923 Hot Metal HL to my spec's, +1/2" length and 3* up lie, and can't wait to get them.

    Hi. So a follow up to my earlier post in regards to HM & HL. I tried the 923 HM’s 2 days ago and really liked them. Especially considering I had not played in 2 months and that is was just an off the rack setup & shaft. Then the next day just for giggles I tried the HL’s with the same DG 95 S shaft. Distance dropped more than expected, spin went up by more than 1000 ( over 6200 ) and the most surprising, the peak height was lower than the HM’s. I will be ordering the HM’s in my specs, though still up in the air on the shaft. In case anyone is curious….. I’m 6’, WTF is 37.5”, 7 iron SS around 83. My set will be 1-2 degrees upright depending on iron and 1/2” long. A previous fitting with Ping had me at 3 degrees upright and I just could not get over seeing the toe sticking so far up. I found a way in my swing to make up for that slight difference to what I actually play. Lastly, most likely in a regular shaft even though I have a bit of an aggressive transition. Just seem to have a better feeling in that flex regardless of the shaft model.
    Once more, Love your channel!!

      Hi George, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Looking at your specs😊👍Maybe you should try NSpro 950 NEO, S flex. It could be something for you, as its been a very good choice for people who are on the edge between Reg and Stiff Shafts. Let us know how you get on anyway and thanks for the feedback. 😊👍Mike

    Hi, Just came across your channel when searching the 923 HM’s. Great comparison video! As another person said, it’s nice to see a review with an average golfer swing speed. Someone who hits a 7 at 90+ mph is of no help to me. Have not had a chance to test these yet, but if you got the HL’s at 1 degree strong or even up to 2 degrees that Mizuno allows, you would get a little more distance, but would you also get more forgiveness the HL provides over the standard HM? Or does strengthening the loft take away the added forgiveness? Hope that made sense! Again, great review and glad I found your channel.
    I also like shaft comparison videos that go through the stock offerings. Most of the big OEM’s now offer a wide range of no up-charge, excellent shaft choices.
    Thanks Again and sorry for long, wordy comment. 🥺

    • @MeteorGolf
      @MeteorGolf  Год назад

      Hi Brent, lobe the wordy comments😊. I really think the best thing to do is go and test the HL and see what the figures and ball flight are like. I found I didn't really lose that much distance at all. Maybe getting the longer irons in the HL could be an option as well. Go test them and let us know how you get on. 👍😊Mike

    I’ve recently purchased and am using the Mizuno 223 Pro irons. How do you compare those with the Hot Metal Pro’s? Have you hit them? I know the lofts are a club stronger with the new Hot Metal Pro’s (28° 7-iron for HM Pro vs 32° for 223’s). I think a player might be more confident hitting the stronger lofts and more forgiving look of them vs the 223’s. What do you think? Or is it just easier to stick with 223’s and just use a 6-iron instead of 7-iron? I’m a 10 handicap in my mid 50’s with average swing speed, like 92-95mph for Driver. Thanks.

    • @MeteorGolf
      @MeteorGolf  Год назад +1

      Hi Cliff. We are basically identical in our Stats, plus I'm also playing the 223s and I absolutely love them ,plus during the summer I brought my handicap down from 9.7 to 4.5 with the 223s. So there is hope for all of use😊😂. Gotta be honest stick with the 223s, you're good enough......trust me. There's nothing wrong with the new JPX pro's
      But I don't think they will bring you anything extra, because yhe 223s are exceptional....just one question what shaft have you got in yhe 223s
      I have yhe Recoil 95 reg. Get stuck in .😊👍Mike
