I have this bike , first road bike for me and super happy with it. For sure the wheels have to be removed and replaced by lighter ones…they are around 1.8kg and you can feel it when you climb. Except that, the bike is so nice to ride.

@Jamesthebikeguy Really how many times do you change gears when riding. I actually view what gears I use and I was surprised at how little it actually is. It's all marketing and some delusional spending.
@@ESR66 I have a Deore 1x 10-speed, a 105 2x 11-speed, and a GRX 2x 11-speed. I think I use 3-4 gears max on each lol.
I literally just bought a 105 bike for $470 new. Sure it's not one of prestige brands, but it's fast and fun enough to justify the expensive price

Can find greats deals on roval alpinist cl ii for around $1000 to $1200 out there right now. Great upgrade and can keep the dt 470 as a back up or loaner wheel set.
I have a pair of Roval Alpinist CL II that I'm currently using on my tarmac sl6 sport (11spd). With the new 105's, do you know if it's possible to put a 12spd cassette on the wheels?
How is the shifting since it fully integrated?

Does anybody know SHIMANO mechanical road 11s pull ratio is compatible with Shimano mechanical road 12s？If so GRX 12s Mechanical shifter can mixed UT8000/DA9000 RD and still use 12s road cassette.
It's a beautiful bike for sure !!!but a bit too pricey for me .i still love my sl6 tarmac but maybe one day I'll get a sl7 or sl8

Can you try to fit trek DS3 (gen5) tires on a new model FX3? If they do fit, I want a DS tire set for my FX3. Please let me know
Why not just get any 35~38c gravel tires? FX3 won't fit anything more than that. FX4 Sport comes with 40c gravel tires though.
@@drill_fiend1097 is this a limitation of the rim size? Or the fork clearance… that’s what I need to know. Is the DS3 carbon fork wider then the FX3 carbon fork?

Lose the disc brakes,then you have lighter wheelset along with lighter brakes/total weight.lose the internal routing also

What I'm thinking is there's no pedals on the bike, have you ridden the bike? Clearly you know your bikes, just thinking ride reviews over a substantive period of time would give us a good view otherwise its just reading through a specification and components list, thats neither insightful or initial delving into a bike, its just reading out a list of components
They’re all going to ride great. Why would a manufacturer build a crappy riding frame? It’s all going to come down to your preference.
