How does it compare to the Allez Sprint? Which model did you have? I have a 2018 (rim brake) and contemplating the same upgrade. Specifically what's the ride quality difference? Less harsh? Thanks!

I had the same, 2018 rim brake Allez Sprint. I would say it’s definitely more comfortable. It’s less harsh. But it’s also stiffer and slightly more responsive. I find it’s more compliant in the sense that the stiffness and agility is there but it’s not as hard on the rider.

Great job! I´m upgrading my sport aswell. What did you do with your 105 components and wheel set? Sold them? I talked to my dealer in town, and said: "Hey, I dont need those wheels", then you had to pay the difference against a pair of new carbon fiber wheels. So the shop kept the wheels that came with the bike. Maybe you did the same?

I just sold everything on marketplace. Those parts pretty much paid for the rival groups that's on the bike now.

What size gp5000 are you running and how is the fit? Cheers

I’m running 28mm gp5000s on a 28mm wide rim so the fitment is flush on the wheel. A little bit of a pain to put on but nothing some tire levers can’t solve

Why would you just buy the sl7 comp or expert if you were going to do all these upgrades

I enjoy tinkering with bikes. Plus this worked out to be cheaper than the comp so still worth it for me.
