I feel like with woodturning bowls there is only two ways to make a cool bowl. Either you pic out the nicest bit of wood, or you spend soo much time making something interesting. This one is definitely the second category!

great job luie . the papa does wonderful work i have followed him for a very long time . you did a awesome job to and them little flaws you pointed out are nothing buddy dont sweat them . love it and you know as well as i do that bowl took some thinking and alot of work . be proud of it brother .

that looks very good. You can also try to use some think dark veneer on the light sides of the star. that would make it pop.
