Good days for NASCAR back in the 90s and early 2000s . I went to Charlotte and Bristol a lot. Saw Jimmie Johnson win 5 times at Charlotte in the span of about 4 years. I think at one time he was 5 out of 6 at Lowes Motor Speedway.
What is with boomers and gen x nostalgia thinking old is always the best. What you said is exactly everything that was wrong with nascar between 05-11.
13:55 Wait, Martin Truex Jr was racing in the Busch Series back in 2003? They've been around for a while then... 27:37 I like that flag guy. I wonder if he ever got hired? 40:11 i didn't even know about this paint scheme. Finding Nemo was my childhood. Still love it.
I think this is around when Toyota first started testing for entering the Truck Series, because Bill Davis Racing lost factory support from Dodge this week, for a “material breach of contract” (testing Toyota Tundras for 2004?)

I tell you why it is was good for me specifically. Me and my old man went to the races together and now he’s dead.

Ryan Newman won without power steering. Dude could drive and be win in any decade in NASCAR.
This was the last race in Dover before I moved to Delaware
Penske out here experimenting, the 12 in the 02 chasis, and the 2 in the new charger chasis, but deep down, those cars still kick ass

27:30 Anybody ever know what happened to this kid? Did he end up getting hired somewhere, or does he still flag these Dover races?
Amazing he won without power steering.
Good race as always ty
I was there sitting in between 1 and 2!
Nice that's where my mom and I we're sitting in 04.
I wonder whatever happened to the Kid with his own flag ? Im surprised they never invited him up in the flag stand or something
Probably grew up like the rest of us and went to college, probably still watching racing though.
