    What do you recommend like an opening for white with d4 . I'm really struggling. I have a really important tournament but i didn't find a opening!

      Watch my Jobava London series for a d4 opening for white. It's simple to learn and very effective. Good luck in your tournament.

    It makes me question whether its better at beginner level to play an opening like this.

    • @PassedPawns
      @PassedPawns  6 месяцев назад +9

      It really depends. Picking up a fundamentally sound opening that you'll be able to play at most levels is good, but as a beginner you might miss a lot of the nuances of the opening. I think it's best to play something simple and just focus on tactics, then once you figure out shat sort of playing style you prefer (aggressive, positional, etc), you can pick an opening to suit your needs.

      @PassedPawns I personally play the kings indian at the moment. And the Italian. Do you think it would be simpler to focus on tactics and try out the cow? Or should I keep playing the kings indian which is my main opening for both black and white.

    • @PassedPawns
      @PassedPawns  6 месяцев назад +3

      I think if you like the king's indian, you should definitely keep playing it, but just focus on the basic ideas and middlegame plans, and don't try to remember a lot of theory. The king's indian is very versatile and I think having limited theoretical knowledge will not hurt you as long as you understand its thematic ideas.

      Thank you for letting me know. As far as I am aware, at the time that she brought it up it had never been played in tournament games but has been played online before. I could be wrong though.

      Bruh, people theses days .... Of course she invent this opening. I mean, sure people may have play it casually and randomly before the opening was named ... But it was Anna who named this opening and it was anna who popularized it. Think about it and tell me what is your definition of the word "Invented" if for you she didn't invented it.

    • @DizzMal
      @DizzMal 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@polodrino5765 invented means she created the opening which she didn’t. The opening was played in the early 90s quite often in randomized chess formats it’s been done. In order to invent something you would have to have created it yourself. That’s like saying if you created a lightbulb that lasts 1 hr longer than usual, that doesn’t meant you invented the lightbulb. Or better yet your friend created the first lightbulb and you took it and then named it but you didn’t invent it, your friend did you just named it. Anna just named this opening something and that’s why ppl think she invented it. What’s with people these days , they just blindly believe anything a content creator says without fact checking and ppl don’t seem to understand basic word definitions.

      @@DizzMal Where do you seen it was played in the 90's ? Where are the proofs ? And if it was so comon to play it why nobody named it before and popularized it ? Of course like I said people could have randomly play this opening in a chess game ... Every combinaisons possible of opening have been played with the years if you are a little bit logic. Are they all named ? No but what else do you have to do in order to create an opening then ? If you want to know who is the first to have play this opening just to say anna didn't invent it, it's up to you to find this person lol. Anyway, for me the fact that she named it and popularized it mean that she created it. If someone wants to name a combination that doesn't have a name, yes they become the creator ... Unless they can't popularized it. I don't understand why it's not logic for you.

    No she's not and she has no ideal what so ever how this opening works with it's playing style and theory but me.this opening is legally and rightfully the jbird theory which goes into multiple openings and playing styles and be careful when the names change for im first and I'll say when.......

      He has spent an impressive 162 hours playing puzzles but there is a possibility he may be cheesing them by using the hint button and then refreshing the page, allowing him to do the puzzle without losing points from the hint.
      The reason I say this is because he has some 3500 rated puzzles that he solved in literally 5 seconds.
