In your 4.d3 line, isn't white dropping a pawn after dxe4? White can play Bxe4, but after f5 the same problem arise. EDIT: You get the same situation after your 6.Bd3.
Spectacular video on the Two Knights variation, probably the best on youtube! One thing not covered, what would you play against this: 1.e4 c6 2.Nc3 d5 3.Nf3 Bg4 4.Be2 e6 5.d4 ? Threat is: 5...Nf6 6.e5 Nfd7 6.Ng5!

I always feel the probabilities are bullshit, because anything can happen
@@liutiancheng184 Of course anything can happen, but we can relatively accurately predict results using things like ELO, history, etc. This is not to say my prediction is 100% correct, but objectively speaking probability is a very useful tool.

Haven't seen this sexy man in a while
Good idea. 3 Free ones is ok. Chesstacticspro does 6 (2 easy, 2 medium,2 hard but no explanation). Thanks for your investment and looking forward to trying !
Idea: Make it so that if you watch a 20-40 sec ad, you get access to another game (with a limit of how many extra you can get per day). You can still have sidebar ads, but this seems like a good option for someone who wants to support this project without spending money and still wanting more content. I am definitly going to follow this project with interest, this is something i have been wanting to have for a long time!
Hey! This is a good idea, I am going definitely going to consider this. Thank you for the suggestion and I am glad you're interested in the project!
You sound very passionate about it so hopefully it'll turn out great 👍.
Thank you so much!
thats actually helpful
Thank you!
Suggestion you it have to be in the appstore or playstore, love the idea keep up 😅
This is a great idea, definitely planning on making this an app in the future. Thank you for the suggestion!
can you add lik opening section where i can choose opening then studuy like when make right moves and correct moves and same with end game
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. As mentioned in the video, there will be puzzle "categories" which will give you the option to choose from different categories - easy, medium, hard, etc. Having categories for openings, middlegames, and endgames is definitely something I plan on adding to that.
:))))))) just for help you
This sounds like a wonderful idea. I hope that everyone in the chess community loves it. Have you decided on your pricing schedule yet?
@@efthorpe Thank you! The pricing will likely be $9.99/month and $7.99/month if you buy a yearly subscription. This is subject to change of course.
Diddy would love ChessBrain
What an amazing concept, when is the release date?
Thank you! As mentioned in the video, I plan on releasing this around mid-December. This may change of course, so I will keep you guys updated if any drastic changes occur.
Nice try diddy

Nah actually a vvvvgood idea but I think websites like these really exists
@@mon4rch_h4x Thanks, I am glad you like the idea. I don't think a single other website such as this exists however. If you find one, please let me know.
If you guys have any suggestions or criticism, please let me know! This project is designed to fit your needs, so if there's something you'd like to see changed, added, or removed, I would love to hear what you have to say.
Can you make the first 10 people who logs in the website Plays it for Free?
@@Danmark-ht1rm There is a free version for everyone, the idea of giving the first 10 people free access would be difficult because the first 10 people would be my friends/family testing it out a few weeks before launch to make sure there are no bugs or issues.
What is the app your using.
Chess dot com for the chess, premiere pro for the editing.
Dont comment on videos often, great video man. Love the insight. Subbed
Thank you so much for the kind words and the subscription. I really appreciate the support.
hi,Coach.in this vedio(01:15),you said:if our opponent plays E6 first, we're never going to play just f3 right off the bat.(you played Nf3 instead).why?thx a lot!
What about 4.Nf3?
4.Nf3 is just a transposition of the main line with h3, you can play Bg4 if you'd like, or you can follow the same line that is presented at 12:12. I personally play Bg4 if I am given such an opportunity, but either one works completely fine.
Nice tank top
Thanks for all your efforts. Just finished all the jobava london videos of yours. Already recorded in my chess prep apps. Now at 1000 elo. Wish me luck!

Basically a reversed alapin then huh
@@danielestrada3390 To an extent, although generally it transforms either into the Panov Caro Kann or a Slav defense.
Hi! I love your videos. Could you make one on the Caro-Kann Defense vs. the Jobava London System, including all sidelines of the Caro-Kann?"
Hi, Caro-kann defense is only after white plays e4, jobava london starts with d4 so unfortunately it would not work
Glad to see youre still posting. Ive sort of fsllen out of chess and just recently came back. Im mow 1500. Any tips on coming back wgere time is limited?
Hey, thanks for the comment and welcome back man. Firstly, gaining back forgotten skills/knowledge is a LOT easier than acquiring new knowledge. You'll be back to your peak in no time. Secondly, tactical sharpness is what falls off first. If I were you, I would do some online puzzles and maybe get some more difficult tactical problems from books and just work away at that. Lastly, I am announcing a huge project soon and it will hopefully help you and everyone else get better at chess, so, maybe you'll be interested in that as well.
@PassedPawns okay, thankyou! I'll find my old puzzle book and use that. Looking forward to the project
7:51 why I can't take the h4 pawn?
You can take h4, but the problem comes in the fact that you won't be able to castle kingside because of white's bishop, and then white will be able to launch an avalanche of pawns down the queenside and Black's position becomes very jeopardised.
@@PassedPawns But I can just play be7 at the end and be able to castle or capture bishop
I would have just captured the free pawn and go back to e7, then if bishop takes, king takes and my king is very safe on e7, we can always play Rhd8 and manually castle
I just lost a game by Tal Variation, So I decided to learn it.... You make it easy to understand.... Thanks!
I wanted to learn it with c5
it's hard to find decently in depth videos like this series, thanks
Happy to help! Thank you for watching!
At 15:54 6.Bd3 is very suspicious. It blunders the white d-pawn. After 6...dxe4 7.Bxe4 is an attempt to save the pawn but black has 7...f5 forcing 8.Bd3 Qxd4. I don't think white has any compensation for the free pawn.
Great find. It looks like I made a big mistake here. The correct move in that position for white would be 6. Qd3. Thanks for pointing this out!
@@PassedPawns Yes, 6.Qd3 is the main line for white in my study which I've previously made from black's perspective. My response is 6...b6 preparing ...Ba6, trading the bad bishop away. White is supposed to prevent the bishop trade with 7.Ne2, black plays 7...Ba6 anyway and after 8.Qe3 my study tells me to castle kingside and white castles queenside. Black now breaks the center with 9...c5 which concedes the bishop pair after 10.a3, though. Black shouldn't be sad about it. Black can follow up with ...Nd7, ...Rc8, ...Re8 and afterwards black can consider the middegame idea of ...Bxe2 followed by ...c4 if white never agrees to trade the light-square bishops. White has a full bishop pair, but the center is closed for now and black reaches white king faster than white can reach the black king.<
Good video dealing with one of White's most popular tries vs the Nimzo-Indian.
@@RobDanny-sm7rt Thank you!
Don’t be discouraged by the nay-sayers & nit-pickers. This video was absolutely great content, clearly & succinctly presented. Just what I was looking for as the English opening is very slippery due to its flexibility. Especially liked your coverage in the 2.g3 lines of how to counter balance White’s pressure on Black’s center with tactics. Have not seen those key tactical shots covered elsewhere, so bravo! Please keep posting sound chess content on openings.
Thank you so much for the uplifting and kind comment. I am happy to hear that you've found this video useful and I will definitely continue creating chess content! I have a huge announcement planned in a few weeks so stay tuned!
@@PassedPawns Great! Too many people approach chess looking for some sort of quick kill, cheapo gambit, or mythical one-size fit all approach that will make chess easy. Fortunately, chess is not easy and if was it would be boring like tic-tac toe. Still it’s very nice to find a channel like yours which explains how to combat a particular opening - the notoriously slippery English - in a principled way and hits the key tactical finesses along the way. IMHO, those who don’t get your expert level advice are just not at the level to appreciate it. Anyway, I will be looking out for your content. Cheers!
@@Ebobster @Ebobster Absolutely, I have to admit, I have tried to make more generalised content to appeal to a larger audience and while it did yield some results, ultimately I find more purpose in making more niche and specific content, like this video as there is an absence in this sort of content online. My videos don't get too many views, but I am happy to know that those who do watch them, generally find them useful. Thank you for the support.
Could you kindly share the PGNs? Thank you for any help.

Actually at 16:20 Black wins a clear pawn with B:g2. If now Rg1, just e5. But the position still looks unclear since Black is behind in development. And at 9:30, ...e6 locking in your queen's bishop doesn't seem logical. Better is Nc6, preventing b4 and threatening e5 kicking away the bishop.
