      Yeah but his on stage physique is impossible to imitate and I mean the CGI in 2015 Terminator Genisys wasn't bad so now it would look pretty realistic but I don't think there would be enough money for that.

    When I first started taking an interest in bodybuilding the names i would look up to were Arnorld Schwarzeneggar and Ronnie Coleman and i would often look at videos of them training on youtube. Now I heard of them name Dorian Yates in the background but never took notice at all really because I thought that I had already got interest in 2 champions from 2 different era's already. It wasnt until only about as little as a year ago I saw something online I can't remember exactly what it was and it directed me into researching more about Dorian Yates and after watching and reading about Dorian he is my favourite now and have a lot more appreciation and respect after hearing about his story of how it all began and that it was make or break and didnt really have a choice. Nobody to really help him at that young age, very inspirational to listen to I think finding something that he felt he was going to be good at and he had that gut feeling really helped him to decide that he was going to choose that path and that path was bodybuilding.

    It seems this interview was done recently. Dorian still looks pretty buff. He's been my bodybuilding idol for years. He obviously chose the right training style of high intensity combined with his fantastic genetics, because his accomplishments speak for themselves.
    I agree with the other comments on here-great interview. Gave a history, probably not many have heard, on his years before his success.

    I consider Dorian the best. Both Coleman and Schwarzenegger used politics to win their last titles especially Arnold. Is it too late to reverse the 1980 victory for Arnold. If so, both Dorian and Arnold would tied at six titles each. How many of you feel Heath deserved all seven titles he won? Haney deserves eight, Coleman should've lost 2002 but is it too late. It's not how many titles you have, it's the influence to get people to train that determines who the best is. That's Dorian

    Dorian body was freakish and very proportional.

    • @eliteman58
      @eliteman58 8 лет назад +1

      ***** I'm currently doing the training routine of Dorian's son, Lewis, the best routine I have ever done to pack on mass. Even when being in a deficit. Well worth the price.

    • @eliteman58
      @eliteman58 8 лет назад +1

      ***** It's almost identical except Lewis believes in lots of warmup sets in the traditional 15/12/10/8 rep range and you are trashed because he has 30 seconds rest between your lighter sets. He doesn't have any calf training as he believes calves get hit plenty hard on squats and leg presses. It's geared more for naturals. It trashes you. It is still one work set to failure after multiple warmups.

    So very simple yet great advice. Unlike Dorian I was a big show off and love(d) the stage. Bodybuilding is about creating a beautiful work of art. It should have stopped at Dorian. Beyond his size and symmetry it got out of hand and is not a pretty look at all. Being an Aussie Dorian is great to listen to! Great interview!

    • @ChrisJ294
      @ChrisJ294 8 лет назад +1

      Different people respond to different training. I am a Yates fan, and bought his book plus Heavy Duty 2 by Mentzer. I tried that kind of training and never got anywhere. I eventually upped the volume, stopped going to failure, and got bigger. Other people do better on HIT workouts.

    • @ArjanMeijer-HIT
      @ArjanMeijer-HIT 8 лет назад

      Going to failure is misunderstood by a lot of people. If you go to far with this you will burn out very quickly. Can i ask you what exactly you did. I am very interested in how other people do or did h.i.t.

    • @ChrisJ294
      @ChrisJ294 8 лет назад +3

      Well, it's a lot of years ago now. I bought Yates' 'Blood and Guts' book but didn't do it too seriously. Then I bought Heavy Duty 2 in the late 90s. Didn't do much for me. I started training again a few years later and used Yates' Warrior's Story routines. I would train until I couldn't move it anymore, then keep pressing for a couple of seconds. My gains just never happened much. I packed up. Then one day, I decided to up the volume, not go to failure, just get plenty of hours training in, and I responded great. But, I know other people who get wiped out by volume training, but respond really well to Yates style training.

    • @ArjanMeijer-HIT
      @ArjanMeijer-HIT 8 лет назад +1

      ChrisJ294 What was the time between workouts (how many days). Not everybody can handle the same stress. Maybe you went a bit to extreme in your intensity.

      Arjan Meijer H.I.T dorians typical split early in his career:d1-chest arms, d2 legs, d3 rest, d4 back and delts, d5 rest.. he would occasionally take an extra day off if he needed... later 2 on 1 off 2on 1 off.. chest biceps/legs/rest, back/delts triceps/rest...
