I like to do the "pencil" grip sometimes when jigging and the split grip makes that more comfortable to me. It is all up to you and how you want to hold or manipulate your rod!
What pound test did u have on with the bigger walleye? Just Curious? I usually run 7lb flouro, I have a 32” precision with a shimano Sahara 1000 and it works great!! Any ways , good stuff man, thanks for sharing brother!!
Like your videos...I am a true Tuned up Custom believer. A good option between the precision and the commander is the Power Precision.....Great rods if you can afford them and like you say..take care of them and they'll treat you right!
My longest rod is 27 inches. I prefer 24 inch especially when I'm in a shanty. I may order a TUCR some day, I do like what I've heard about them! There was a catalogue company years ago that I ordered two custom open water rods from years ago when they had a buy one get one free sale. Unfortunately graphite prices went way up in price about ten years ago and that company eventually folded :-( still have a 6'7" rod from them and it's my favorite!
@@DWSOutdoors I have to get a precision also but I think I am just going to buy that one on sale and not wait for it to be built. They can be had for $80.00 on sale a decent savings.

Is there much of a difference from a split grip to full grip?

Do you think the precision can handle number 5 jiggin raps?
It could probably but you really should use a commander for the #5 and bigger raps

I run 6lb P-Line as I like to go as light as I can get away with!
@@DWSOutdoors thanks man, looks like it handled it very well !! I’ll be watching u .. keep up the good stuff 🕳 🎣
Do you have an extra otter sportsman case you want to sell?
Christopher Bruce 😂 I was actually going to try to find another one for myself
@@DWSOutdoors good luck! They are discontinued and the new otter cases, I do not like. I'm searching high and low for a sportsman case.
Helps to know people lol But I have yet to find one myself so I feel the struggle!
I was thinking I would want a power precision for walleyes but maybe I only need a regular precision 🤷♂️
Both are good choices 👊🏼😎
@@DWSOutdoors red lake and LOTW would you go power precision or regular precision?
Precision since you'll most likely be tossing spoons around a bunch!
@@DWSOutdoors thanks! Ordered one last night!
Ok Dave, if you will go for jigging brown trout/steelhead in Lake Michigan harbor will you use precision or commander? Great review!
Jerry Car 100% Commander or the LTP!

MoreSlabs thanks!
Good video!
also..a few of mine are 36"...great length for outside fishing (Out of the shack) ...the extra length helps absorb the head shakes!
