When you say windshield sealant, are you referring to black urethane? Also, was urethane used originally, and if so, did you have to cut through it at all or did the window pop out simply by pushing the corners out as you describe? Thanks!
I got some butyl tape to replace the seal, but could only find (locally) some 1/16" thick. Do you think two layers (1/4") will be thick enough to seal it, or should I put on three layers?
I'd use the windshield sealant I mean I guess that might work not sure on how much to use you on ur on...on that one. I dont want to tell you wrong bc I dont know.
No it’s cool I’m just saying it’s crazy the way the world works sometimes what you have Is with someone else needs yet they don’t need it they need what you need and vice versa
So I've got the nuts off already, but the window is in there tight as hell still.Do i have to pry it off,or use a hammer to to hit the exposed screws? I'm handy, but it's raining like hell everyday in Portland,Oregon, and I'm worried i won't be able to do it right. What do i need to make it have that air tight seal? Do i buy a silicone? I'm not the smartest guy;not the dumbest, but sure as hell not the smartest
U got to press on the corners inside the window dont use a hammer u may break the glass u got to press firmly on the corners and u have to go buy the windshield sealant from a parts store it's kinda high but u have to use that once u get the glass out take a picture of it them use a solvent to get the old sealant off look back at the picture and follow the outline of the old sealant with the new sealant
And after that line up the screws with the holes and once they are all lined up firmly press the rubber seal all the way around the window then go SNUG up the nuts to the screws and long ass u used enough sealant it should never leak
Thank you for the support please like share and subscribe!!!!!
Judging by the sound, that’s definitely a fiberglass loogey.
Nice cameo by Airsoft Fatty at the end.

Will a 96 rear window fit a 2000
Don't think so they changed the body in 98 and 98 should long as the body style is the same

Or you could use a garden hose to see if it leaks
