In the most respectful way possible, I want to say Scholes has no clue what he is talking about. I am an Arsenal fan, but it is clear as day Chelsea are title contenders. Yes they play 3 at the back, yes they have 2 "players who sit" in midfield. Don't get it twisted, Chelsea are a very much attacking team, they are an attack first team. Chelsea have better goal difference than Liverpool. Yes, their 'not attacking enough' team have scored only two goals less than 'free-flowing Liverpool'. And this not a dig towards Liverpool who are obviously great in their own regard if not better. You have to be deluded to think Chelsea are not in the title race over Man United who have 1 clean sheets so far and much worse defensive and attacking numbers compared to Chelsea. Scholes is totally clueless here.
Yeah your right big 6 as usual. Scholes a waste of time. Keane would of been better. Although savage would of been good just so we can call him a wonker
Chelsea had the best defensive record last year and still have the best defensive record this year with the amount of games played. Scholes makes a really dumb error with assuming that Chelsea, like Liverpool or City, must have some world class pairing to be defensively good, but Chelsea rely on system more than any individual player in defense, and that's what makes them dangerous. Not to mention, they have world-class defenders anyway in Silva and Rudiger. Really weird analysis from Scholes tbh
But he literally said that it's the system that keeps them solid. The same system that prevents them from scoring more goals and being more creative in attack. That was his point. Chelsea sets up in a way that they have to choose one or the other: either being defensively solid, or being creative in attack. Liverpool or City doesn't have to make that kind of a trade-off.
@@neemnoa303 Either defensively solid or being creative ?? Lol. Let's talk about CL. How many chances Chelsea created against RMA, PORTO, ATM, and in final against MAN CITY? and how many goals Chelsea conceded against all of them?? Just ssssssssssssh mate. I'm afraid you don't understand football

In the most respectful way possible, I want to say Scholes has no clue what he is talking about. I am an Arsenal fan, but it is clear as day Chelsea are title contenders.
