What you do with your videos is not only a loveletter to craftsmanship but also to every Harry Potter fan since the earliest days and everyone else. That ASMR section with Lupin talking and you carving that wand made me feel nostalgic in the best way possible. It's like you take the love of all Harry Potter fans and put it into that piece of wood. Thanks for doing this.
I love watching your wand making videos. I often think your wands look more genuine that the compared replicas. What would the world be without wood lovers and sunset suckers!
I really love these videos! They’re so fascinating, funny, and even cozy. I love the PoA so much and Lupin has a close place to me heart. For me some of the main reasons I love PoA so much, besides for the fantastic story, is the aesthetics, cinematography, and soundtrack. This wand was really cool to see made and it’s fascinating hearing about the intricacies of different types of wood and the trees they’re from. I don’t know if you’re a Tolkien fan, but if you are, once you complete your wand wall, would you be interested in making the Wizards staffs? That’d be super cool!
Thankyou - spending a long time packing and editing these! Just need a few more views!… It’ll be a long long time before I finish! But will probably leave it as a wands only channel!
Remus lupin like most wizards, he had lived a life filled with tragedy and misfortune, from being marked by the death eater greyback, making him into a werewolf living a complicated life, but found light as time passed, he was reunited with Sirius, married and had a kid with tonx, but it was really heartbreaking that they both died in the end, they knew the risks though and they died to protect those they cared for like most of us we sometimes find ourselves In the situation that seem meaningless and hopeless, we've all experienced that feeling before, but there's one thing that we must remember, as wise as Dumbledore once said "happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, but only if we remember to turn on the lights" no matter what gets thrown at us there will always be hope no matter what, and again an amazing job as always, keep up the good work no matter what gets in your way 😊
Technically Fenrir Greyback was never officially a Death Eater as he did not have the Dark Mark. Voldemort hated what he considered “half breeds” which included Werewolves.
I'm obsessed with your videos keep going! The voice over in the last couple is really well done and I enjoyed the tidbits of info about trees!!! Thanks ❤
My whole family is from Monterey, California, the only native habitat of the Monterey Cypress. It’s my favorite tree in the world, I screamed when you said it
I stumbled across your channel a couple weeks back, and I'm so glad you're doing Lupin's wand!!!! Keep up the great work, you're such a great woodworker / craftsman!
Love the story of the tree and seeing the milling process. Remus’ wand always seemed the simplest but the most comfortable in hand. Also you could do really well as an ASMRtist too.
Hearing you talk about trying to get a job shocked me because sometimes I forget that not all RUclipsrs are full time. The professions is something that I always think of as like something you can do full time kinda no matter how small it is, but it isn’t lol
I kinda go around in circles but hard to thrive when struggling to survive! The potential for this channel is there though I'm sure, just need to keep persevering !
I always love seeing the part in the film where Lupin merely waves his wand to organise his possessions in the luggage on the day he retires as a Hogwarts professor. That swooshing and whistling sound has a magical sense about it...and how I hope also the scene make it to your video. Anyway congratulations. Really appreciate your handy work.
Wood turning was always so captivating to watch. I've done metal machining and have a wood lathe my father left me so I need to get to it. I think Lupin might have something to say about you making his wand under a full moon
I want to get into machining much more when I'm older (and have more space/money!) - it really helps bring accuracy across to woodwork. Don't copy what I do at the lathe though! Awwoo9oo
Would love to see you make Harry’s wand and some of the other wands from the first two movies that were replaced/ changed when the franchise changed directors.
I’d really like to see you take on george’s wand. That curve in the handle would be really interesting to see how something like that could be made as well as that transition into the shaft
Loving the work dude. Your attention to detail is amazing. I've tried making a few and I've now had a few friends asking for some wands. This might seem like a cheeky question, but where do you get the boxes you send yours in? Much appreciated.
I was just at the studio tour a couple of days ago, and one of the interactors have told me the round finial at the end of the wand was meant to represent the moon, and the notches were made from him biting his own wand while in wolf form.
great commentary...yes I heard that little parody ....I agree for carbide its s....... Now I remember an old timer when I was turning in the 80's was looking at a new tool and rather than examine the tool he looked at the shavings and did that affirmative nod that people who know what theyre about have hmmm I think green Great Dragon works to be honest but I like playing with words I think you did a crackiong job of it and did David and Remus proud
hi, great video first of all, also what type and make is your lathe, it looks like a star wars speeder. i think it is th emost aesthetic wood lathe i've ever seen
I love your videos and there's a wand that really blows my mind, this is Alecto Carrow's, she's a very minor character but she has a beautiful wand, could you make it please? I haven't found out what wood it's made of and from the color I think you could make it out of black walnut. Thank you very much.
Don't ripping blades have fewer, flat teeth? And bigger gullets to clear the sawdust? Crosscut blades have more, angled/pointed teeth to cleanly sever the wood fibers and leave a cleaner cut. The downside is they don't clear dust as quickly, and generate more heat.
There's a fair chance that within a few years, the authorities would have been forced to take down that cypress anyway. The way it broke apart when it fell shows that it was very likely to have been dying and rotting from the inside out. At some point, someone would have deemed it a safety hazard. Too bad. It really was a beautiful and impressive tree.
I absolutely love these videos 😍 Do you think you could do dumbledoors wand from the fantastic beasts movies? There's a theory that it's the brother to the elder wand
Olivewood? Just for looks id imagine. The reason for cypress wood, wizards who are not afraid to face darkness, both within themselves and in others. cypress wands are associated with bravery, nobility, and self-sacrifice, which aligns with Lupin's character as a loyal and courageous wizard.

I've always liked Remus' wand. Very humble looking, and easily the most comfortable wand in the series. Well done!

The amount of pun you put in the video is just out of this world! 😂
Genuinely concerned I’m going to run out by video 60 (or however many wands there are to make!)
Always amazes me how great the handles come out with these irregular ones I wish I could subscribe twice
Yeah me too tbh! Share for a friend to subscribe ?
@@garricksapprenticeoh I absolutely do with all my friends who like Harry Potter

My favorite wand of them all. It reminds me of a conductor's baton. I also like how David Thewlis held it when casting magic.
I love all the details about the tree, and the process of working with limb wood. I always love your videos, this one was awesome.
That Lupin ASMR moment was beautiful...and I'll even forgive the random Eminim interruption 😁
Missed the diagon Alley with Diagonal joke there.
Great job!!!

I'm trying to make a wand with basic hand tools, wish me luck
One of my favourites! Again, such a beautiful result.

I love your videos. So satisfying to see such craftsmanship and talent - and you're funny too! Take the pith. I laughed out loud at that one.
You've inspired me so much I've started whittling wood as a hobby ❤
Love the story of the tree and seeing the milling process. Remus’ wand always seemed the simplest but the most comfortable in hand.

I decided to start doing voiceovers as much better for communicating/engagement - leaving ASMR for my 1 minute edits!
