I just changed out a step rod with new bearings on my step mill PT7000 due to a missing bearing. Found that the step rod as I was removing it was broken into 2 pieces. I also cleaned and tightened up the chain due to sagging. Added white lithium grease as needed to bearings and step hinges and she runs super smooth. There is a video on chain tightening and another video on preventative maintenance that are really good. These machines are simple but man are they greasy dirty to work on. Wear disposable gloves.
Hello, thanks for the educated video. Are those wear and tears from just use? Or is that something that needs maintenance to be avoided? Trying to shop for a stair climber myself and this place I go to has a floor model that's out of order and thinking about offering to buy it. But watching videos to grasp an idea of things that could be wrong.
I have a Brand New gauntlet 8 which was almost fully assembled butI had to assemble the outer items such as the handrails, electronics and the outer shell which is not an issue for me. My concern is that the stairs seem really creaky and noisy. I can also feel them going over something. It is not smooth and quiet. I am not sure why. I am concerned about using it in case it causes damage. Do you have any idea of what that could be on a new machine or is it normal.
We recommend giving our sister company, Fitness Graveyard, a call at 563-949-0799. A technician can speak with you over the phone and help figure out what may be going on or if what you're hearing is normal. Thanks!
Hello. How much travel time should I change the alternator, chains, belts or transmission on my gauntlet please? how many hours of use. recommends changing the gait system parts...

My nautilus stairmill has constant tension and all of the red lights are on for the relay, power, and field. Ive replaced the alternator and the relay board and the stepmill still wont change resistance. Its like its stuck and i have to force it to move. Could it be the console itself?
Couple things could be going on here. If everything is working correct, the steps will only catch IF you have power going to the machine. There is also a small internal rubber drive belt under the steps that runs from the alternator to the transmission gear box. You question got me to thinking I should do a specific video on this topic. I just may. All this being said, I would check the alternator brush Most likely it’s bad and can easily be replaced. Feel free to reach out to us here at Treadmill Heroes M-F and we can assist further
