The motor control board is most likely a blown mosfit. The belt and deck clearly need to be replaced. Spirit and Sole use silicone as the belt and deck lubricant, as most residential treadmills do. It was probably hard to move due to the friction between the belt and deck, which is the most likely cause of the blown lower board. You cannot always tell if a belt and deck are worn out by looking, but you can with a DC Amp draw test. I never like to see anything over 10 amps. Anything near that I recommend belt and deck replacement.

I have an Epic A35T. The unit powers up, however screen light up but no images. The machine allows me to raise incline and to change console height. It has had the Console replaced before under warranty. Looks as if epic is no longer in business. What's your thoughts? Find replacement console? buy new treadmill?

My NordicTrac treadmill, T7.5S , gives an error that the treadmill is not communicating to the console. I just took it apart to move it to another room. I've checked the 8 pin connector, all pins are OK. I removed all connectors and reinstalled them. No loose connectors. There is a solid green LED and a solid red LED on the board. Any ideas? The console works, just cannot find the treadmill.

my treadmill has been slipping a lot and i just blindly kept tightening the back set screw till the issue stopped or at least wasn't as bad i am going to check this ASAP. your explanation is probably the best I've seen on youtube very easy to follow for a dummy like me

Hey Joe, great video! I own an Octane Q35 elliptical and it reads break error whenever I try to change level. I’ve ordered a new servo and change it myself. However, the little well does not move. :( Any idea of what could be wrong? TIA!

Need help, i cleaned my machine including motor, every thing closed perfectly, machinrle is workong fine, but jerking when walk on pad, i tied the belt well, but issue is still thr (jerking)

@treadheroes thank you for your video. I "liked" and subscribed. My issue isnt' any of these. The Console Board is getting power, it just never fully "boots" up... it looks like a constant "loading" screen where there is a bar that builds from left to right, over and over again. Pressing "Start" does nothing. It worked pretty recently but this has happened before and after some tinkering (I didn't do much other than let it calibrate a few times). It seems like its trying to load the base software? Or, trying to connect to a Wifi?Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

For really light systems, have you ever used cloth cables. The Lower speed pulley uses cloth cables. You would be amazed at how nice the reduced friction is.

Excellent instructions. My issue is I will walk on my treadmill and it will just stop. When I get off it goes again or I may have to press the stop button, then start button again. I can walk on it for a few minutes & it does it again. Only 2 year old Pro Form Carbon TL model. Same issue with a Sole model. Help!!!

They just make Podcast about anything now a days. lol jk, your channel seems very useful considering I have ran into this problem in the past. Belt adjustments tend to be the biggest problem, then the motor. I was hoping this was going to be a metaphor for life.

My treadmill turns on fine. After about 10-15 seconds, the treadmill will increase speed without me touching the controls and then pops the circuit breaker. What do you think it might be? Control board perhaps? I was going to call a technician to check it, but if its something I can diagnose and repair myself, I was gonna handle it myself. Thanks in advance for your help! 👍
