I’m a firm believer in that they should stop making heroes and focus and refining the already present features in the game. The new hero every time is basically a new model with all reused animations besides like two or three besides executions besides Pirate, who desperately needs a rework due to her moveset being the “I win mixup” like raider, but worse. She can be a fun-charismatic, and tough brawler like what people think of with a pirate, not a weird blade dancer with every good mechanic thrown on to a character. Just to name a few things they could work on without focusing on a hero that takes so much time: Focus on fleshing out the overall customization: armour quality to choose whether or not you want battle damage, rust, wear and tear, etc, more unique armour sets for all current heroes, be able to apply battle damage (blood for the edgy folk, burns, dents, dirt, slashed armour, even scars), have gender swap for every character in the game (any realism in this game died a long time ago), armour variants for every character, give some levy to pirate and allow people to be a Caribbean pirate with armour sets and new body type that isn’t obviously a Wu Lin slapped on a new faction, give raider a shirt, give the Viking faction some actually good armour sets (the amount of skulls, bones, an spikes, and raggedy armour is ridiculous), stop making so many comically edgy sets (everything has spikes, bones, and skulls), give BP an actual knight helmet and helmetless that doesn’t look terrible (most of his helmets are goofy). Stop making universal executions, there’s so many and only half of them get used past the first week, focus on making good executions for each current hero and avoid making ones like the new BP shield throw. Stop with the goofy animations and make more serious animations for each hero, allow people to take their character seriously if they want to. Stop making new heroes and refine the old ones, mechanically, medjay is proof that Ubi is running out of ideas. Fix pirate so I can live my fantasy of being an alcoholic swashbuckler. Consider adding more “adult cosmetics”, 70% of the FH audience is horny or horrifically down bad, throw them a bone so they stop making god awful emblems. It doesn’t even need to be that bad, just give cleavage, stomach, or thigh if you want, or give female raider something other than a piece of ripped cloth (even with the chainmail skin texture it doesn’t die lol), another option is to add loose fitting armour sets to the game. Have characters that speak English have an option to only speak their native language when playing and vice versa. People want to hear Warmonger step on them in Latin. Rework characters in a way that makes sense, they don’t need to be made top tier, just better or tweaked enough so they can stand up better. Not everyone needs a dodge attack. Not everyone needs a dodge attack, if you want that design then do this: have bash and damage type dodges, but have the opposite for a dodge catch, something that punishes dodging since GB works less and less with more GB immunity being added, and parrying most dodge attacks gets you a light and sometimes a heavy if the enemy panics or gets baited because for some reason some heavy dodges are just better than light dodges. Get Ubisoft to stop giving you 5 dollars for the budget, it’s so sad to see an obvious dip in development due to the fact Ubi letting a game live longer than a year or two is foreign to them (besides R6 but it’s pretty much dead casually anyways), I know they don’t have much of a choice but I can dream of a better future for For Honor. These changes can take many seasons I don’t really as long as it gets done, I want to see them in the game instead of wasting time making another hero when they can refine the old so they feel new, and so they can release heroes less often. I love FH but the game needs work, not a content pile up. This comes from a place of love from someone who’s been playing this stupid game for 5 years now. Please, just make the game better instead of adding a new hero that drains your much needed resources. Fashion and expression is the endgame of For Honor
For honor can be a place of despair. Whether you get light spammed by a Kensei using their fourth feat or getting killed by a projectile right before finally obtaining revenge and more. So do yourself a favour while you've given up at spawn after watching for raiders decimate your three teammates whilst breaking. At least have good fashion on your hero to admire while you wait for your inevitable demise. But on a serious not your the MLKJ in my eyes, that doesn't exempt you from fashion though
HOLY SHIT THAT IS MY GRYPHON AT THE END 19:15! I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THAT WAS YOU! I try so hard to give shamans their space on bite and I feel proud for that save. I've always looked for myself in any sort of For Honor video and for once I saw it.
Shaman is my main, she always will be, I miss the minion animations and im happy you brought them up, her whole insanity thing is really hidden now even though she does the bite, a few executions highlight it with pulling out innards and eating them, but there’s only like 3 of them. More *actually* gruesome exe’s. She has the issue all insane and actually threatening characters in games do, they just get turned into goofy personalities, and I hate it.
You know what would've given the characters more depth and more lore background.. if they had kept the dynamic dialogue system and let them talk to each other!

Shaman main here, my biggest problem with the crazy vixen is how heavy I feel as an assassin. Some Heavy heroes swing faster than my ASSASSIN and it just can be annoying at times.
Thank you so much for voicing this. I have been crying, moaning, bitching. All this time, ever since they removed the minion killing animations. For me they were so precious because capturing the middle zone with these animations made it so fucking entertaining to do, it didn't feel like a chore, and it was badass. I really hope they put it back, and put an effort to put out new ones for the new heroes. It's all I really want.
Her soft feint bleed stab is so fucking fast that even in the training arena and on PC I can’t react to it. And I can light parry most people. The animation is nuts
Honestly, shaman has always been one of my favorite heros, shes from the age when ubi actually put personality and passion into heros, shes not busted, she can be good in a gank with decent teammates who pay attention to your pounces, and shes decently strong in duels with good mixup potential, though when shes the one being ganked she lacks the ability to do much but sit back and stall since you really cant use your chains especially against the newer heros, and the inability to get bites in for large sums of damage given the lack of neutral damage just forces you to stay defensive and retaliate with lights, shes a well balanced hero and even though she isnt picked much anymore those who are skilled with her still can do very well
Looking at Shaman killing those minions made me realised just how massive the heroes are. Or how small the minions are. Shaman is supposed to be one of the smallest heroes in the game and yet she jumps onto minions and mauls them like a bear and still seems to be atleast 1 foot taller than them.

Going for my list of possible changes to Valk, stand by... ... ... 1) Undodgeable chain top heavy and all heavy finishers. 2) Full-guard fast flow from Sweep[not the follow-up on hit] (and possibly soft feint bashes). 3) Sweep punish does 20 damage, but heals Valk for 5-8 health. 4) New feat "Thrill of the Hunt"(?) on 2nd tier that increases healing of Sweep and heals nearby teammates. Alright, I'm out of here... Peace! EDIT: I also thought about using the punish from the deflect on the full-guard, since they both are superior blocks... Idk if this would be too powerfull without some damage reduction?
She needs some sort of stamina buff. If you manage to do this combo: H, left H, L, GB into neck bite. That is half of your stamina gone. Maybe it's just me but I think she needs a stamina buff
when i started playing shaman the first few reps i only equipped gear for the perks and didn't change how it looks and it always looks amazing, i don't play her as much now but i don't regret spending 30k steel on her only after a few hours of playing her and the best fashion i found is demon shaman with the horns, my best creation
Coming from someone who used to really enjoy Shaman and never made a guide (still funny to me years after my disappearance), this video kinda reflected one of my old videos. Shaman is still the most fun hero to me, and I adore her short ranged brawler play style. Most of what makes her fun is the unexpected tendencies her soft feints present, such as a staple mixup being a hard feinted zone into a soft feinted side heavy into top light. I kinda miss when people hated her, and I hope to god we get a character that fights with their bare hands as claws, because the animalistic methods she attacks with could really be improved upon. As a Shaman main rep 63. I love playing her played her throughout all the metas ESPECIALLY the HYPER ARMOR phase post nef hard times. Playing her is not easy in gank situations it’s best to NOT get (emotionally involved)
Yeah her anti gank is horrible and that is why I run supersonic on her she is literally the speed of a bullet with supersonic. No one can catch me so I just leave all unwinnable interactions

As a rep 56 shaman player she is a very fun character but on todays meta she's so ass. Yes she kicks ass in 1v1 but in 4 she's very hard to use. Playing on 30fps doesn't help either but it is what it is. I hope she kinda gets a stam buff she kinda needs it because at least when you do two of her optimal combos you are pretty much out of stam.

They should've never gotten rid of minion sync kills, that made killing minion wave so much fun to do/watch and it really added to the characters. But because ubisoft only ever listens to pro gamers who want to play on greybox training stages every game, they just took all the fun out of it, just like they did with Rainbox six siege.
The day they give Warlord a dodge attack will be the day For Honor officially dies. This coming from a WL main. The fault of this game is allowing it to be competitive. It's like making Mario kart competitive. Changing item mechanics and vehicles would just make the game boring and less fun. If they really wanted to make FH truly competitive they would initiate single pick (characters and classes) on all game modes and bring back class specific renown gain. Playing around that made renown gain easier. Heavies defended points while vanguards captured points or cleared minions. But Ubi went away from that and started focusing on ganks/death balling. The competitive scene is not possible now since the focus is mostly balancing everyone around ganking. Also, since we're giving heros a bunch of annoying mechanics, let's bring back warlords heavy off shield punch and make it have a wider range so it hits multiple enemies. Thanks for reading
yeah I've been happy as a shaman main for years. Her and Lawbringer are my favorites. I cannot help but fear the thought of them reworking her. I trust that they would ruin her completely. They took a unique game with an entirely unique cast and turned it into a spammy generic forgettable experience. If I haven't played it since it came out, I probably wouldn't actually play it like I still do. That comment about it being a team needed match now too was so true and that is not a good thing. I didn't see any issue with how you used to be able to 1v4 people. It was always their fault for playing poorly, if you ganked with a brain it wasn't a problem to kill them. It's just so rewarding now to play poorly. Like sure you will still feel a difference somewhat when you face someone who is "good", but literally its easily smothered if you gank up with an oathbreaker and some unblockables. Which...i dont understand how ppl are okay with that. That makes it so watered down and noob friendly. No Game lasts when it cant be taken seriously and competitively played. The more and more noob friendly this game gets the more forgettable it will become.
I think I'm going to pick up Shaman now-- I really don't see many and when I do they're usually have the same type of fashion. I'll enjoy repping her while I can.. But I'll update your Discord with my progress.

So I just picked up the game like 2 days ago and all I got is: don’t get good at the game because you won’t enjoy it that way, and don’t try to solo her if you see her giving out super hickies without your teams consent, you WILL get one and probably get stabbed in the pp while it happens

To be honest, I kinda like her unblockable being so slow. I can understand why you'd want it sped up, but in team fights at least, slower unblockables seem to land more often. Personally, the bite itself is her personality; I'd like to see it sped up a little bit. Coming from 32 reps
Shaman and shinobi I got to rep 7 back when they first came out. I just started playing again this year and all I see is side dodge attacks and bashes.
I'm the main shaman and I'm at 64 reps and I'm trying to push it to 70 but since I play with friends I'm in control and as you say in the video, shaman is pretty bad at antiganks. I like everything about her but I feel like she's been forgotten and with all these reworks she's falling behind and she's not going to be a bad character, she's just not going to live up to some assassins like orochi, shinobi and even beserker.
Shaman's bash is too slow. Her left heavy finisher is too slow. Basically, if you don't put someone into heavy recoil, you can get lighted out of it. No chain bash, no undodgable. Honestly, she could use a little love.
She can soft feint her forward bash and attacks between eachother and nobody uses it. Basically confirms a lunge heavy if you soft feint to it from bash.
I want to remove healing off of attacks vs a bleeding enemy and be able to hit gb after or during a chain attack vs a bleeding enemy to get a bite. It would function like Pirates gunshot after heavy, it would do less damage than the gb throw bite but would give her more pressure and maybe she could heal off of that, and It would make her more meta :) I think that would be sick Edit: AND FOR FUCKS SAKE REMOVE REFLEX GUARD PLEASE

Most of what makes her fun is the unexpected tendencies her soft feints present, such as a staple mixup being a hard feinted zone into a soft feinted side heavy into top light. I kinda miss when people hated her, and I hope to god we get a character that fights with their bare hands as claws, because the animalistic methods she attacks with could really be improved upon. As a Shaman main rep 63. I love playing her played her throughout all the metas ESPECIALLY the HYPER ARMOR phase post nef hard times. Playing her is not easy in gank situations it’s best to NOT get (emotionally involved)

As a rep 56 shaman player she is a very fun character but on todays meta she's so ass. Yes she kicks ass in 1v1 but in 4 she's very hard to use. Playing on 30fps doesn't help either but it is what it is. I hope she kinda gets a stam buff she kinda needs it because at least when you do two of her optimal combos you are pretty much out of stam.

They should've never gotten rid of minion sync kills, that made killing minion wave so much fun to do/watch and it really added to the characters.
But because ubisoft only ever listens to pro gamers who want to play on greybox training stages every game, they just took all the fun out of it, just like they did with Rainbox six siege.

Old cent is proof that personality and character matters when making a good hero. He was awful but he was everywhere in matches.
The day they give Warlord a dodge attack will be the day For Honor officially dies. This coming from a WL main. The fault of this game is allowing it to be competitive. It's like making Mario kart competitive. Changing item mechanics and vehicles would just make the game boring and less fun.
If they really wanted to make FH truly competitive they would initiate single pick (characters and classes) on all game modes and bring back class specific renown gain. Playing around that made renown gain easier. Heavies defended points while vanguards captured points or cleared minions. But Ubi went away from that and started focusing on ganks/death balling. The competitive scene is not possible now since the focus is mostly balancing everyone around ganking.
Also, since we're giving heros a bunch of annoying mechanics, let's bring back warlords heavy off shield punch and make it have a wider range so it hits multiple enemies. Thanks for reading
yeah I've been happy as a shaman main for years. Her and Lawbringer are my favorites. I cannot help but fear the thought of them reworking her. I trust that they would ruin her completely. They took a unique game with an entirely unique cast and turned it into a spammy generic forgettable experience. If I haven't played it since it came out, I probably wouldn't actually play it like I still do. That comment about it being a team needed match now too was so true and that is not a good thing. I didn't see any issue with how you used to be able to 1v4 people. It was always their fault for playing poorly, if you ganked with a brain it wasn't a problem to kill them. It's just so rewarding now to play poorly. Like sure you will still feel a difference somewhat when you face someone who is "good", but literally its easily smothered if you gank up with an oathbreaker and some unblockables. Which...i dont understand how ppl are okay with that. That makes it so watered down and noob friendly. No Game lasts when it cant be taken seriously and competitively played. The more and more noob friendly this game gets the more forgettable it will become.
I think I'm going to pick up Shaman now-- I really don't see many and when I do they're usually have the same type of fashion.

To be honest, I kinda like her unblockable being so slow. I can understand why you'd want it sped up, but in team fights at least, slower unblockables seem to land more often.
Personally, the bite itself is her personality; I'd like to see it sped up a little bit.

Shaman and shinobi I got to rep 7 back when they first came out. I just started playing again this year and all I see is side dodge attacks and bashes.
I'm the main shaman and I'm at 64 reps and I'm trying to push it to 70 but since I play with friends I'm in control and as you say in the video, shaman is pretty bad at antiganks. I like everything about her but I feel like she's been forgotten and with all these reworks she's falling behind and she's not going to be a bad character, she's just not going to live up to some assassins like orochi, shinobi and even beserker.

Shaman's bash is too slow. Her left heavy finisher is too slow. Basically, if you don't put someone into heavy recoil, you can get lighted out of it. No chain bash, no undodgable. Honestly, she could use a little love.

I want to remove healing off of attacks vs a bleeding enemy and be able to hit gb after or during a chain attack vs a bleeding enemy to get a bite. It would function like Pirates gunshot after heavy, it would do less damage than the gb throw bite but would give her more pressure and maybe she could heal off of that, and It would make her more meta :) I think that would be sick
