Joe Cocker has this musician attitude to fill the world with unplugged legendary songs to be remembered by for as long as it will be..and so far..were into 2021..great rhythem and melody going on..great band in the midst and backup is terrific..RIP Joe Cocker..breaking has arrived and you deserve a break from it all.never forgotten..

Lo que toca Stainton en The moon is a harsh mistress es monumental. Tan preciso y hasta más hermoso que en la versión de estudio que para ese entonces tenía 20 años. Un espectáculo.

La versión de estudio, (con cuerda, además de piano), creo que fue grabada por Jimmy Webb (al piano), y además compositor de la canción, en el disco I can stand a little rain, del año 1974; tendría que mirar los créditos en el disco, por si me equivoco.
Pero por supuesto, el acompañamiento de Chris Stainton aquí, fue precioso, monumental, sí, mucho mejor que en la versión de estudio.
Yo diría incluso meloso, melancólico, tierno, romántico… Para mí, siempre fueron la gran pareja del rock and roll; ni Lennon/McCartney, ni Jagger/Richards,…. ¡¡ ¡¡COCKER/STAINTON!!.
