I didn't go this Cocker concert, I was probably still gun shy after his disappointing earlier tour (or tours?) when he was drunk and not very healthy, which was hard for a teenage fan to take at the time. I guess I went along to Festival Hall expecting Woodstock II or Mad Dogs II and got him throwing up on stage and forgetting words instead. But I'm still a huge fan and there's a great doco about him on Netflix, from memory, that showed what a tortured and ripped-off artist he was until later in life. RIP Joe.
@@bruinsrulz Probably was mate, poor Joe was a mess for years. From what I know he was a lovely man who got used and abused by the business for years but eventually managed to come out the other end okay, only to die too young. RIP Joe.
I think the date is wrong. Joe Cocker toured Australia in 1977 with the American Standard Band and again in 1984 with guitarist from the American Standard, Cliff Goodwin, who was with him for at least the next ten years. The band in this clip is the same one I saw in '84- Cliff Goodwin, Larry Marshall, Howie Hersch, Mitch Chakour and B.J. Wilson.

Nice concert.. And some rare songs are hidden here: Who is he, So blue and sweet forgiveness. These songs were never on regular albums.

I don't know. He looks a bit drunk here too. He was chugging some beer at 11:55.

I saw Joe with this band near Philly on 7/11/80, so the date could be right if he kept performing with this band after '79.
Fairly sure it was 1982 simulcast on EON FM @@timscott6081
