Clapton has more than earned my respect, as a musician who’s devoted himself with sincerity to a succession of authentic American musical forms, including Delta and Chicago blues, Chuck Berry-style rock and roll, country, and JJ Cale-style rockabilly. He didn’t get stuck in a rut, or become a parody of himself. And he wisely went back to acoustic blues as an older man, when he perhaps had less intensity, but more character to draw on.

@@westbatman66Fanboys can often get blinded…. By Eric’s own admission, being strung out on smack probably didn’t facilitate his greatest period as a guitar player 🎸
One of these days he might bust out a 59 flame top and really let loose. There's still hope.
What happened to Eric's eyes at 53:06?
😅😅😅 yes something must of kicked in!😅😅😅
He recognized someone and gave them a look
He recognized someone in the audience, probably a friend because the concert is in London.
Probably someone made him react like that lmao
Yvonne Elliman and George Terry really shine in this performance. Not sure how EC manages to stand up he’s so drunk. Some great songs in the 70’s
Maybe something called " coke"
he is not drunk
playing well
Years of practice!! 🙂
Eric Clapton on acoustic guitar so far.
Where? Which song(s)?
