As a wrestler and football player who’s ultimate goal is to get stronger this summer... Finding this account is like a literal pot of gold. Great vids. Subscribed
Fr I’m a younger athlete at 13, and last year I my bench was 65 and now it’s at 95 pounds and I’m at 99 body weight and my goal is to hit 120 by next year
@@vafrost-7260 Son started their online programs and he will be 14 in October. Bench is 205#, Squat is 285# and Deadlift is 315#; he weighs 145ish and is 5' 6.5" He is hoping to dominate 8th grade sports this coming year.
I am a huge fan of plyometric/explosive push-ups. They add a level of excitement and adventure to an otherwise very simple movement. Hand clap, knee touches, in/outs, you name it, they are all exciting!
Lots of respect for putting out content that people like. But.... I have been working out for for 37 years plus and have learned a lot along the way. After multiple surgeries on my shoulders along with a few others. Your bouncing at the bottom with a heavy bar is destroying your shoulders. Moving weight slower going past the lateral plane of the chest will save your shoulders. Not to mention I witnessed a person suffer heart failure due to bouncing a bar off his chest because of the bruising that occurs internally. The shoulder press behind the neck is another shoulder destroyer. It may help in the very short term with power but you are steering them wrong for any fitness longetivity.
@Joseph Scott and the core yeah. But to say it’s just a bit of trap while in front rack isn’t quite accurate. On the second pull, you’re fully engaging all kinds of upper body muscles
IMO there doesn't really have an explosive pulling exercise for the back. The lat is more of a stabilizer. The power of an explosive pulling is usually from the leg and forearm.
That explosive push up is definitely not an upper body depth jump. With depth jumps you’re spending little time on the floor. You do not drop into a squat and then jump, you jump immediately. With this push up you’re dropping into a push up instead of firing immediately.

You made me realize D1 athletes are freaking strong 😂
👆👆👆
Yes, they are absolute freaks
Than there’s some fake ones who go D1 off of “potential”
@@jaheim6434 That's quota filling, some however have good genetics but poor work ethic/low interest in their sport
@@jaheim6434 not everyone makes it D1 because of their strength, there players who are really skilled at their sport or have crazy athleticism.
Hey garage strength , is this routine advisable for someone with a record of a previous clavicle bone injury?

"...help your relative strength..."
I don't like any of my relatives. Why would I want to help them out?
behind the neck push press is not safe fella
Is this good for boxing?
Not really, apart from med ball bench and the push ups
Cleans???
@Joseph Scott they are a full body exercise
@Joseph Scott and the core yeah. But to say it’s just a bit of trap while in front rack isn’t quite accurate. On the second pull, you’re fully engaging all kinds of upper body muscles
@Joseph Scott wow have you ever done a clean?
Cleans are in his lower body version of this video
Wtf, 4 push and 1 pull?? What about explosive pull ups?
explosive pull ups are effective but limited, better do muscle ups

This is much similar to a full clean of the upper body
12:42 excellent trump impersonation
Pushups really ? Are you serious pushups ? 😆
Yes push ups is extremely effective my friend
It was irony
plyo push ups used by lot of great athletes through sports history, take a look at evander holyfield it is a to do exercise
