Something I forgot to mention is that vitality is pretty much useless after tier 4, since light machine guns are replaced with autocannons and missiles which will one-shot your pilot 9/10 times. Also small error in the vid, 0.05km is 50m, and 0.25km is 250m. I forgor to add a 0 on both of those for the keen vision missile parameters
You also forgot to mention that repairing on the airfield also reloads your plane, making the reload skill useless in arb and asb. Beyond that great explanation on view range and jamming mechanics, the skillcard doesn't explain this well at all, so it makes way more sense to me now. I always thought a overheated gun could jam every time it fired lol, so it would be useless on MGs but super good on slow firing cannons
Eh vitality is more for those times your plane gets hit by he rounds and doesn't burn up, but the pilot was injured by shrapnel. Maxing out helps a lot for eating a 30mm he
Weapon maintenance can actually be pretty useful for bombers around 6.5-7.0 cause it lets you shoot for way longer with your turrets, and the bomb accuracy gets pretty significant at 9km height
I find a plane with Hispano 20mm guns, particularly benefits from Weapon Maintenance. Although there are also unique modifications for these jam prone guns to make them less prone to jam.
I know one trick I like doing is having reload speed higher than repair speed, it sometimes allows you to reload and take off without having to be sent back to the start of the airfield(it technically also keeps your current fuel levels which is good for certain planes that have way to much minimum fuel... its also cool in my head). What's funny is that there is a setting for manual reloading but not one for manual repairing even though when you repair it auto rearms regardless
You are much better off only doing repair speed, the repair event also reloads your plane so there is no point in reloading when you can just land with landing gears retracted and repair to reload for free
9:29 Pro tip: If you have premium account, never turn off auto repair to get the "free repair over time." Premium makes it so you never go negative SL in a match, so it can pay for your repair costs if you were to go negative. But it only pays for your repair if you have auto repair on.
caveat to this: if you do not of premium, do not turn this on. This helps new players to save money and to know how much you are actually earning so as not to lose all of your silver lions in repair costs.
Vitality is essentially useless in high tier where on missile will remove half your plane or you get a 30mm HE to the face It can however be quite troll-y at very low tier where it can absolutely let you survive being pilot sniped by a stray 7mm
@asuchanowo only if you add explosives or something that could deal major harm. Just an inert missile would be legal the same way an RC plane is legal.
As of right now and for a while, Gunner precision and accuracy are useless anyway. You'll get shredded way before the enemy gets in range for them to use.
I realize I'm getting into tier 4 where Pilot Vitality becomes mostly useless, but I've been randomly pilot sniped by random 12.7mm from over 1.5 km out to ignore it anymore. I'm not putting too much focus in it, but to say it's a completely useless stat is disingenuous at best, at least early on. I'd say get it to Rank 2.5 or 3 at most early on when it actually matters, that should let you survive the worst snipes.
1:10, I’m really confused. Is a full crew level referring to a full bar as shown in the graphic? Or is a “crew level” referring to half a bar, aka, 0.5 of the total crew level?
14:52 What exactly do you mean here? From my understanding, you claimed the possibleness of using ground, aerial or naval vessels to acquire crew XP points faster for other branches of that nations military. If I purely play ground battles, my bi-plane crew will still be lvl 1, not lvl 150 like for my ground vehicles. I cannot use aircraft to get crew XP faster to play an interwar tank with lvl 150 crew trained on aircraft, nor can I do so vice versa. Each crew slot has a separate lvl for ground vehicles, aerial vehicles and I almost forgot, naval vessels.
What I meant was, if you don't want to play aircraft, you can use tanks or ships in the same crew slot, and the crew XP points earned in those game modes will be usable for aircraft as well
If you play a ground battle on ground crew number 1, you can then switch to air crew number 1 and use the skill points you acquired from ground battles on air skills.
So is there a reason why enemies don’t always show on my mini-map despite having an aced crew and them being within 500 meters or why looking at an enemy just a few kilometres ahead of me don’t show up half the time?
I'm still not entirely sure what keen vision does -- does it only affect when an enemy/missile would be highlighted, or does it affect when the enemy plane/tank model would load-in and be visible?
I personally don’t think vitality is very useful because if your pilot gets hit by a shell from anything bigger than a 12.7mm, they are dead regardless
G-tolerance increases the threshold for what constitutes an overload, while Stamina increases the time you can stay in the overload state. Sure, Stamina increases your time limit, but your time limit is infinite if you don't even reach the threshold to begin with.
@@BOFH_ yeah but at low levels you are just gonna go over that threshold anyways (edit: I mean Ig it means you prob have to pull out of a turn less to get stam back but idk)
render distance in ground battles, I have problems in planes , that I have hard problem to see lite3rally planes sometimes , or even most times , how keen vision work there ? I heard that render distance is smaller with small keen vision in ground , can that affect plane detection in ground battles ?
Wow crew skills suck, they increase perameters by comically small ammounts or are drastically needed to avoid debuffs by a drastic degree. A max repair speed should lower free hangar repairs to an hoir or 2, not 21 hours to 20 hours and 41minutes 😢
