Keep on rocking ,Im 46 and have seen them 6 times and youre right never has there been or ever will be a band that puts on a rock and roll show like the best,KISS,forever.
I was lucky enough to get an Eric Carr drum stick the night that Motley Crue opened for KISS at the Universal Ampitheater in the 80s. I fought for that stick!!
Now, the Alive 35 tour is a different story. I saw that show in Milwaukee, and I've never seen a better KISS performance. Ever. They were absolutely ON FIRE. It gives hope for the new album to actually live up to they hype they're giving it. Reunion tour was OK, musically, but not tight. Psycho Circus was better, but by the Farewell Tour, musically, it was over. They could have hung up their platforms after that one. Glad Gene and Paul decided not to, but for a time it was miserable.
If you honestly yhink that, musically, the reunited original KISS was as good as it got, man, you're either deaf or you never saw footage of heard audio from a Hot In The Shade tour show. THAT was KISS. Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick. By the time of the Farewell tour, Ace and Peter were just going through the motions. None of them played as well as they could, Gene and Paul included. That was a dark period in KISStory, musically. It was mediocre, at best, but the show made up for it.
Wow, I can't believe they don't realize that this song sounded better WITHOUT the higher vocal harmony on the "who's your baby?" part, like on ALIVE!!!!
The only bands/artists that are equivalent but I cannot say that they are better because each venue is so different is Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd, and Roger Waters.
@BlackDiamond1967 Do you know what an "odd" feeling is to watch my FAVORITE band of ALL TIME, Kiss, and NOT be able to cheer, play (some) "air guitar," or even "sing along"-due to the absence of Ace and Peter?! MORE POWER to Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent! Why? Even though they, too, were new members, they DIDN'T DISRESPECT Ace and Peter by wearing THEIR make-up and costume(s)...UNLIKE Tommy and Eric!
One of my favorites of all time
My most favorite KISS Song...and in my opinion, The unplugged version is their best song period.
