Honestly, this is inspiring. Looking at your bag some may think "wow, that's overkill" but I just think about all the times in my life where I wish I would have been that prepared.
I have been a fan of your bag set up for a while and about 2 years ago took the inspiration of smaller pouches in your main bag. I have a pelican case for work and it is never a mess with that set up, each pouch keeps things nice and organized. Great stuff!
Hey bro since I first started watching your channel I've wanted to go and do overlanding and now soon ill be getting my own truck and with your help from your channel I have a better understanding on what I need and things to do with my truck keep it up dude 🤙
Mike, I got this bag from Gear Up in Denmark for about £150 on Black Friday. I got the Canopy/Grizzly colour scheme and I love it. I'm in the process of loading it up with gear and fitting subload pouches.
For the record, man - I ordered this bag and a pair of pants from Vertx and used your code... essentially got the pants free. Thanks. Going to start roughing the shit out of both now and see if they live up to the hype.
I bought the Gamut 1.0 a few years back based on your recommendation. I love it, everything has held up great, except the grab handle at the top has almost completely torn off on one side. Do you know if they've reinforced the handle on the 2.0?
I have the same issue for the 2.0, it also starting to rip at the top part where the back attaches or meets the sling/straps. The leatherette material looks nice but it's weak, rips and delaminates in few weeks. Just bought mine 6 months ago and i don't carry heavy stuffs like guns and ammo.
I will try to contact the company and send them pictures, got a suggestion on how to fix or avoid the rips in top loop handle, it's a design flaw, they just need to reposition the loop so that it's squared or perpendicular to the bag when being lifted by the top loop handle, you can notice the stress area when you lifted the bag thru that loop handle. They can also insert or sandwich the loop handle with a light but sturdy tubular handle like aluminum or plastic, that way it will keep it squared / perpendicular to the bag when carried by the loop and the weight is well distributed therefore preventing the rips at the stitch corner area. I used the top loop handle a lot.
@@LastLineOfDefense I do as well, but I would also hang it on a hook when I get home. I can't really do that anymore without the handle possibly tearing off completely. I'm still more than satisfied with the bag and fine with the handle, as I would consider it normal wear and tear after a little over 2 years of use, but if it was more reinforced it would be a huge bonus!
May I suggest at some point standing the backpacks (or anything I guess) next to a solid ruler? Really gives perspective. And this looks excellent for when I'm out exploring ghost towns.
I’ve been carrying the Commuter Sling to work lately. It is big enough in the summer time for work edc. But if I want to throw some extra clothes or some gloves and a hat on top it’s kinda small. I miss my ready pack, sold it so I could buy the Last Call. If I’m driving my truck I much prefer a backpack. But in car the sling is quite nice. All three of the bags I’ve mentioned carry my Sub2000 or Ruger GP100 quite nicely. Love the armor I’ll probably get some for my bag. Also is it just me or were the zipper pulls and buckles blue on the bags? If so that’s kinda weird.
An adult with a backpack/sling in public, especially a man, screams GUN to me. The less tacticool the pack, the more tacticool stuff I assume is in it. I immediately start calculating and plotting against that guy in case he's a "lone wolf" in sheep's clothing.
I really like the way you show these products and all their potential. Vertx isnt as good with explaining the full potential of their products and how they work or can be used, on their website. Great job man.
There are things called “splinter out” that are GREAT for splinters. They’re tiny metal things the size of flat needles with tiny points on them end. You can get packs of 200 or more on amazon for really cheap.
How big is that back pocket? I was wondering if there is enough room to stick an AR Pistol? More specifically Daniel Defense PDW. I have not been able to find out how big it is or how big of a AR pistol you could fit in there or if you could fit it in there comfortably.
Nice stuff I need to step up my game. Question what are your thoughts on faraday bags for the key remotes? Are they worth it or wait for a little better technology?
I’m currently building an ar9 for backpack carry considering I’m not gonna use a law folder I’m using a covrt insert panel from 5.11 to keep things organized.
Seen so many load out of this bag mate in the UK it rains a lot lol will I be safe anker brick in side pouch or toss in a plastic bag 😂😂inside a maxpidition or tech organiser I like power in side pouch but worried it will get ruined thanks 🇬🇧☔
GOOD VID !! I have this bag and use is as an LE EDC bag, great product. your editing is on point!! I'm working so hard to get to that level. ill keep watching.
So no one is a grayman here?? Just kidding! I like the idea of not really drawing attention to yourself though, but what draws attention to yourself with an olive green and brownish bag? I love the Idea of this bag so much!
Picked up the multi-cam version of the gamut 2.0 using your code. Could have gotten it a few bucks cheaper elsewhere, but glad to be able to support your channel.
@@LastLineOfDefense Bag came in! Quick shipment. Didn't realize how well made the bag is. Very sturdy build. Will do great for hunting/hiking/edc bag! Thanks for the thorough review that sold me on the bag. In fact, you've made me spend quite a bit on gear lately!
Happy pre birthday! Been contemplating getting a baby yoda. Will probably pull the trigger later this week. DFNDR looks sweet, I’ll definitely have to look into that. Thanks for the videos, stay safe and we’ll see you on the next one! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
You really need a promo code for Tacoma's. I bought one 6 months ago when I started following your stuff. It was only a SR5 and I couldn't handle not having addl features so I bought another one yesterday, TRD Sport 4x4. Dealer would not honor my LLOD code though....
“This...or any camo isn’t gonna stick out.” Food for thought!😂 Good looking bags! My EDC bag is a 5.11 something or other, next time will scope out on of these.
Band-Aids don't fix bullet holes, but tampons work to plug them. As far as the bag, I just wish that the length of the 2.0 was the same as the original.
No, tampons will not expand enough to stop hemorrhaging. Use hemostatic gauze, regular z-fold gauze, or a t-shirt before you use a tampon, preferably in that order.
At least Premier Armor fully covers the entire area of the pack. Those leaves far to much space for possible incoming rounds to make impact with the user.
I like both packs. I'll use the brown pack during the Fall and Winter month's and the Green pack during Spring and Summer, either would blend well during those months. I also like the fact that these packs open clamshell style most do not. Enjoyed the vid. 👍
Mike I love the video. Great load out. Question, have you ever used Knipex Cobra 125/150mm or Pliers Wrench in the same sizes? I have one of each in my EDC bag.
I tuck the "Big Daggley Handle" into the Zip up area as I don't need Quick access into that Area. Love my Vertx Even though the Top Grab Handle did Detach. Some day ill get it reattached.
Not a bad idea having plates in your backpack this day and age. Pretty rad backpack Mike. My holster should be getting close..maybe not...i dont know...will you sign it ? That would be cool
Don't know that there is really a right or wrong answer for that - but I usually only have 100-200. Enough to kind of get me by for a bit in an emergency, but not enough that my life would be ruined if my bag got stolen or lost.
Honestly, this is inspiring. Looking at your bag some may think "wow, that's overkill" but I just think about all the times in my life where I wish I would have been that prepared.
Thank goodness you're a tech nerd because I needed to know if it'll fit my 17.3" Razor 🤙🏼
You are the first review I’ve seen that acknowledges camo is everywhere and does blend in. ESP multicam black
Bought the Gamut 2.0 last December, thanks for the discount, now I'm ready for the bulletproof plate or shield.
I got a Vertx Gamut 1.0 after you did your first video on it and still love it. Wouldn't go with any other backpack. Happy birthday, Mike! Enjoy it!
Love the simplicity of your videos. You have a good attitude also. Great vibe, thank you .
“Pac-Sun...is that still a thing?” I almost spit out my drink 😂😂😂
not anymore irl
You have THE best videos to watch while putting lowers together.

Can’t wait to see how the bag has progressed!
Happy Birthday! Nice bag. Thank you for the video.
Not gonna stop commenting until I see a video of you and Ashley fishing
100% agree. Water bottle pockets are a must
Thank you for the video and your coupon code!! Big saving! I ordered mine today. Thanks again!
Dope bag love the “Baby Yoda” color way
Hey bro since I first started watching your channel I've wanted to go and do overlanding and now soon ill be getting my own truck and with your help from your channel I have a better understanding on what I need and things to do with my truck keep it up dude 🤙
Awesome man, glad it was helpful!
I been watching your videos for years. Keep up the good work!
Mike this video is on point. Love your bag vids but bringing a bit of comedy into this one makes it a winner.... Pringles/ Desert Eagle 🤣🤣
That DEagle just screams “shoot me first” in that side pocket! 😎😄
I subscribed right when you slammed the Desert Eagle in the exterior pocket. hahaha classic bro. Nicely done.
Great video, as always man! I hope you have a great birthday! 🤘😎
Tampons are good at two things. Plugging holes and stopping blood flow. I keep a few in my duty bag....great for gsw
13:10 underrated tip there is a pocket on the Ready Pack 2.0 to secure the armor.
I REALLY wish they brought this color back!
Happy Birthday Bro! Thanks for all of the content!
I really like the green and brown one, but the camo is cool too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Thanks for the coupons!! your links have saved my a bunch of money on sick gear.
Thank you for the excellent video! Love the new vertex bag.
Watching from the UK. I've been watching your stuff for a long time mate! loving the more relaxed fit feel of this video!
For the record, man - I ordered this bag and a pair of pants from Vertx and used your code... essentially got the pants free. Thanks. Going to start roughing the shit out of both now and see if they live up to the hype.
Thanks for going through those contents , the edc videos are the best!
Thanks for your videos. Just celebrated my birthday on the 12th. Thanks for all the awesome info

That pen is one of the best I've used, it's perfect at work where i often find myself needing different colors/pencil.
That olive multicam tropic is sweeeeet 🤩👊

loved all your stuff man! even the smallest like flashlight! hope i can get that backpack sir! God bless
“Nothing screams shoot me first” Awesome!
Idk open carry might

@@MrYaxalot I used to think that, but I’m not sure there is any data that supports that idea
It doesn't even look tacticool?
LLOD: I always carry on body appendix.
Also LLOD: Look how perfect this exterior water pocket is for carrying my 50cal Desert Eagle!

I'll have to check em out, because I get a fair bit of splinters.
I lol'd so hard at that DE in the side pocket.
Then he immediately jumps to using the word "snackies" fuckin great lol
Magpul daka wallet to organize "flat things" - sounds like an ECD condom organizer to me 😂
24:48 every time you do that voice I lose my shit laughing
With the bag fully loaded, will it sit standing? Or will the bag tip over?
How big is that back pocket? I was wondering if there is enough room to stick an AR Pistol? More specifically Daniel Defense PDW. I have not been able to find out how big it is or how big of a AR pistol you could fit in there or if you could fit it in there comfortably.
You should look into doing some pre-built bags, bugout bags, med pouches! I think they would sell well
Nice stuff I need to step up my game. Question what are your thoughts on faraday bags for the key remotes? Are they worth it or wait for a little better technology?
Hey Mike as always look forward to and enjoy your videos. Can’t wait until the black multicam llod hats come back in stock!
You ware me out. If I had a bag like that I would forget half the stuff I had in it. Thanks again for good video.
I’m currently building an ar9 for backpack carry considering I’m not gonna use a law folder I’m using a covrt insert panel from 5.11 to keep things organized.

Oh yeah best youtuber and 1 of the best bags!and it is almost my birthday almost 13
Don’t use Nalgene anymore. The plastic is an endocrine disrupter, even though they use BPA-free. Highly recommend stainless steel.
@LastLineOfDefense “ I like to leave room for extra activities” too

Went to your holster web site. Didn’t see anything for a ruger LCP. I always carry the LCP when I go for a run or walk.
There is a place to tuck the waist straps into to get them out of the way.
That's A Nice Product. I Can Tell. I Guess I Have To Get One. You Sold It Boy....
Do you ever get questioned by tsa when flying with your tool kit?
What an awesome Backpack!
I hide an Apple AirTag in my Gamut 2.0. Great video!

The Velcro bags by vertx work great on the roof of my tacoma
Hey Mike, in your opinion what’s the reasonable amount of backup cash to leave in a edc carry bag ?
Don't know that there is really a right or wrong answer for that - but I usually only have 100-200. Enough to kind of get me by for a bit in an emergency, but not enough that my life would be ruined if my bag got stolen or lost.
