Who would even think of robbing a guy that has a military helmet hanging on his backpack. Oh wait. I think I need that.
I’ve had the Vertex Commuter Sling for my work EDC and absolutely love it. I quite often stash my pistol in the quick access compartment and can draw from it nearly as quickly as from my waist. My local range has vetted me to practice my draw from it as well. It’s that smooth and functional (single strap sling swings to front of body very easily, not sure with the Overland). I use it for my carry on when flying as well. It’s a work horse! I’ve had it for over 2 years and it doesn’t have a single tear or loose thread. I can’t say enough good things about my Vertex bag.

I've had their day backpack since you posted the first Vertx video months ago, I love it and take it everywhere. It's by far the most well made bag I've ever owned. I think I might have to look into getting this one for my weekend trips which I take a lot of.

Lol. I got a 32 round mag for my daily carry and wife hates it. I’ll carry it in my left front pocket just to print on purpose.
I have been using LAPG and 5.11 bags. I guess it's time to take a much more serious look at Vertx. Lots of nice features.

My EDC is smaller and less distinctive in a college town. And it's specifically a GHB. Socks, water, fire, light, container, and cordage plus man bag stuff like power bank, headphones, etc.
I find that using Dopp kit bags in various sizes for organization helps.

In all seriousness, I definitely dig it! I think I'll probably be keeping it in my truck, mostly because I just bought another EDC pack(leaving in T Minus 1 hour 23 minutes to drive all night to the Outer Banks, needed something to put my wife and kids stuff into while walking around or else I'd probably drown in the water due to pocket relestate

What has spoiled me most, though, is the exceptional quality of your audio and the level of effort you put into production (I was watching videos as RUclips suggested them, and it was very cool to see a WPS patch on another creator's EDC bag...)

Cool video. Wise Men Company makes some really cool hook-backed panels for mags and stuff that would be great in the Overlander, and they come in all your favorite colors and multicams. Best part? They're called Pack Insert Magazine Provisions, which might make a really cool acronym if someone didn't feel like spelling that out.

Love innovative back packs. Unfortunately over the last 25 years I have enough backpacks to buy a really nice car of course the last one I bought was through kinetic and I so I can carry my scar 17 on day hikes maybe Overkill but you can stop people, bears, mountain sheep, a full-size pickups. Then I could hunt with it but it's not a good squirrel getter. And squirrels don't really feed my appetite but nice pack

Familiarize yourself with Copenhagen. It’s the easiest way to track a Marine as they don’t swallow the juice. It leaves a distinctive trail. Well, that and they’re always dragging their heels.

The lack of foam on the back pad is rad. Hopefully they have non-tactical color ways, I've always wanted a Hawaiian print pack that says, "Just a big fruit here folks, absolutely no SMG's, throwdowns, or tomahawks to smite bad guys....". Might be a little more covert if it's not in black or earth tones.

I actually like a lot of things about these packs, for the record this is 33 liters, uses Velcro branded hook & loop, and does in fact use YKK zippers. I have yet to see anyone say exactly what materials the new Gamut packs are made of except that it's "lighter" than the Cordura that earlier version used. As someone that beats the crap out of packs that concerns me slightly... I think the layout and features are damn near perfect though, and the price is standard for a pack of this size and quality and with the discount it's a straight up steal.

Still far more affordable from Big Daddy Unlimited. I have yet to find better prices elsewhere.
However, as an owner of multiple Maxpedition packs I can safely say that Vertx bags & packs are far more usable on a daily basis. They hold up to the greyman appearance quite well and accommodate a variety of PDW style weapons.

Another great backpack is the Vanquest Katara.
It converts to sling bag. Or regular backpack. Has a special compartment that is hidden and you can’t even tell it’s there. But it’s super fast to open. How hard is it to find? Security at work has never asked me to open it nor have they even tried to look in there. But I can rip it open in a split second. To hide, well. Let’s say snacks. And other things you want quick access to but don’t want anybody to know you have.

@6:25 and if you are really really mad you can save your blade, flip the ax around, and beat someone into a dirt nap with the hammer side. Extra points if you got a spike on your hawk. Bonus point overload cuz the pack takes glock mags . . . or knives :)
