Just over $500 for both. The whole list for right at $1000. Not color coordinated. 🤗
I think it can heavily depend on a variety of factors, given that my education background was in engineering after seeing it in your videos I fell in love with and have purchased the Tactile Turn Bolt Action pen. On the other hand I could never see myself going with a luxury lighter, I don't smoke and if I were to have a pocket lighter I'm more likely just going to take a bic lying around home.
Honestly I love watches and knives, those are the 2 main things which I’d spend on however much is financially responsible (+a little bit probably😅) further I don’t carry a light or lichter (even though I should, I have a cheap but good wallet and I just have a small carabiner on my belt where I can clip keys on…
How do you compare a multi tool to a single use tool such as that knife?! One does more than the other at a much lower cost, and a carabiner to a the bellroy key cover... an key smart or orbitkey would be a suitable companion in the budget like. Other than that I liked everything and still choose the budget with the added expensive size of the bellroy, flashlight and knife.
I was into the all black stuff from 17-19years old. Now almost at 21 I'm starting to like more vintage stuff recently more of a dark brown maybe it has a story because I got it at the flea market from the military booth I have ww2 wallets and stuff from there. This new simple black plastic world isn't cutting it for me. But the items listed are great options. To these all I'd like to add my edc pistol I know it's not allowed everywhere witch is sad but I would be interested to see.
Amazing video as always! Very funny and interestingwhen you bring us these videos that compares different levels of EDC. Thanks again for your great work and effort! Take care
I bought a 150 dollar wallet and it was ready for the trash after 1 year. On the oither hand my dupont lighter purchased by my father when he was 20 still holds up 40 years later.
I'm having a hard time trying to understand why a Swiss army knife should be compared to a large single blade folder. Wouldn't one of the expensive leathermans be a better comparison?
I would get everything from the budget side minus the key holder and add the key holder from the luxury side. Also, add the knife and flashlight from the luxury side. Having a proper knife and an extra flashlight is a good thing.
A lot of these are great, and that Casio is god tier. When I travel I typically wear my Omega Speedmaster Pro. It has no date so I just pull the crown out and set it to local time and use the chronograph to monitor a 2nd time zone if for some reason I need to. The Rolex will garner quite a bit of (sometimes) unwanted attention.
Casio world timer is a great watch but buttons are large and easy to inadvertently press. Also, you can buy great aftermarket case and bracelets in stainless with sapphire glass which takes it to a whole new level
casio either has easy to press buttons (your watch) or difficult to press buttons (eg the 5610). Im not aware of any middle ground - the search continues.
After experimenting with minimalist wallets I've realized that I use cash far more than any physical cards (Apple Pay on iPhone pays for 90% of things). Since I hate folding cash besides the single fold of a traditional wallet I don't use minimalist wallets. I have a nice Kangaroo leather wallet that holds both several cards, some business cards and a few backup public transport tickets. Maybe a cash-holding magsafe billfold will be invented one day (the Max iPhones are a little larger than an unfolded dollar) but for now the camera bump is in the way.
as a small pocket light I prefer the olight vs the nightforce, even without price factored in. just because it is so much smaller. My actual always on flashlight is a keychain light by olight (I1R 2 Pro specifically) because it's enough for small regular stuff and so tiny it's actually always on me
@@jxirocxmpos idk if you noticed but he was using a zippo butane insert, they also make butane inserts now that won’t dry out or leak like the normal lighter fluid ones do
I have many Zippos plus the Dupont lighter which I was lucky enough to have bought for me in my kit. I love them both, what I do not love is the constant re filling my Zippo with fluid, here in Spain it is hot in summer so if I get 4 days out of my Zippo I have done well. My Dupont on the other hand lasts weeks on end for my daily cigar fix. I have just swooped to butane but it just does not have the same feel or vibe to me.
HAHAHA amigo, I can personally attest to the fact that a solid, honestly any 84mm to 91mm SAKs will far out shine the Benchmade Osborne. I personally have a 940, and yes it is in my EDC rotation, however I pick up my SAK tinker for box openings and a host of other tasks over my 940! The winning feature of my SAK, and many of you will laugh at me or nod in agreement with, is the toothpick and sliver plier combo. I use the toothpick daily, and regularly, to the point that if I can't have my tinker, I have my SD classic JUST for the toothpick! I will pick up the SD classic over any leatherman just for this simple fact. Yet, I love my 940, but I would sell it before my budget tinker simply because of the value sq cubic in taking up my pocket space! Runner up, and possibly trumper, to the 940 is the Spyderco Delica - it's lighter, not as flicky, less expensive, yet retains an element where I don't miss my 940 when in pocket! The I3T is a great call out... I have so may flashlights it's not funny, but my I3t has been beat to hell and back and for good reason. It just works. Lighters, I love my zippos, but if you must have a lighter and don't smoke, just get a bic! It's a far better fist compressor for self defense and it's dollars vs $12-15 for a zippo. Pen - I disagree, just get a HongDian M2 and be done with it, seriously. Casio, yes! Rolex, no - put that money into an S&P 500 fund and thank me/buy me a beer when you retire. Simply put, too many get caught up in the engineering spec, spend big dollars on, then open amazon packages, smoke acid cigars, and pretend to know what luxury is while saying they could survive a bush craft trip for weeks with their tools in their pockets. Personally, wallet, get a Trayvax Summit Armor, it'll be here when you bite the dust! It's ugly, yet it does the job just fine. Have an SAK/Folder combo, or SAK/fixed blade combo, either works! Reason is, the SAK is being honest with yourself and what you can do with it! The folder/fixed blade, that is your personal flare. Lighters, if you smoke stop. If you don't good on you! Put simply, it starts fires, buy a BIC or Zippo, the rest is a waste of time and resources. Watches, I get wanting a nice watch, get a Seiko 5 or Hamilton mechanical, don't get a Rolex! if you have that kind of cash, invest it. Pen, man I love Lamy, but HongDian has several pens that utterly smash Lamy's offerings for price per performance. PS - I'm not cheap, I use what will make the most fiscal sense in the future and yes I have expensive tools. Kimber for PD, Surefires for lights, Jet/Festool for wood working, Milwaukee for automotive work, and so on. I am of the "buy once, cry once" mentality. And it's honestly nice to know my wallet will outlive me and my family who wants to give me Christmas wallets - tell them "no".
Rolex watches were originally the type of watch you'd buy if you had decent money and wanted something modest that would last your lifetime. I would say Casio really picked up that ball when Rolex switched to a status brand
Idk man, I’d say Seiko has really taken that torch considering they make a lot of automatics like Rolex. People who aren’t into watches don’t really see it since the nice Seiko watches aren’t in really any stores to buy, you gotta go online and do research
@Wjray0126 I'd considered name dropping seiko but after seeing the current prices on an entry level seiko I decided they've passed into the realm of expensive because of their name. Still great relatively affordable watches tho
@ my view is skewed because I found Reddit watchexchange which you can find a lot of those pieces used in really really good condition for half the price. I bought my brother in law a king turtle in mint condition for half msrp and bought a spb077 for a really good price in really good condition. They have sadly moved into luxury slowly though :(
Function always comes first. All the budget options you showed had the same, if it better, function than the expensive options. Some of us will always want the most expensive for no other reason than that.
I love traveling the world and prefer Breitling or Panerai over Rolex-understated luxury that speaks only to those who truly appreciate it. But I will say it is a very nice watch.
Good video. Could have gone 100 different ways. Lots of watch upgrades that aren’t a Rolex. If put one of the new citizen or Seiko gmts as an option. But a new apple watch would probably be the “luxury “ version of a quartz watch
Lowkey hoping for Apple watch as "luxury" Mechanicals may be luxury but man they're a deep rabbithole full of scary high tech analog stuff that wouldn't be safe to EDC.
@@ducttaperulestheworlI consider that anything above Seiko, citizen, or Hamilton isn't necessarily better quality in the areas you'll worry about. Stick to brands and prices ranges like this and you can get the best value
honestly, the only thing out of this EDC kit that i think having the luxury option over the cheap option is knives. a nice quality knife is good to have on hand, and i think it's worth spending a good bit of money on a nice knife, especially if you are doing more than just opening packages. the rest can stay though, but i'd swap out the casio for a timex watch, but that's just personal preference.
I would argue all of that is personal preference and depends highly on where you are going. If you are business orientet you are going to carry more luxuary, if you are traveling global south luxuary is a bad idea. One could argue luxuary is always unnecesary, but on the other hand there is a clear difference between a cheap bic lighter and the 40 year old dupont lighter I got from my father that still looks like it was purchased yesterday and just feels good to use.
Glock 17 for the budget option, the Laugo Alien for the luxury option. (Glock 19 for those that prefer a more compact piece but I wear oversized and prefer the classic so 17 for me)
There's a wide variety of uses for these certain gadgets depending on who's using them. I personally believe in the quality of the product, and I think it's a myth that only luxury products can have good quality. Instead, we can choose from a range of options that offer a good range of durability.
The Swiss Army knife should have been compared to a full size multitool, not a knife only. Here I think a black Victorinox Swiss Tool BS would have been a good comparison. I also think that bringing in a Rolex that is near impossible to get new and are so overpriced on the used market was not the best watch. An Omega Speed Master or Seamaster would have been some good options, you could also have compared a Tudor Black Bay in an effort to try and keep the luxury kit somewhat affordable.
The Wallet/cardholder & key holder sure I'd upgrade too, then swap out the ring watch for a gold one. Maybe get the insert for my Made in Niagara Falls ON Zippo while I'm here. Pretty good lists laid out here.
Last comment would be that luxury does not have to mean flashy and attention seeking. Some people have commented that for travelers attracts the wrong attention, I think this depends more on if you mean BRAND by luxury or the QUALITY of goods. Yes wearing a Rolex on holiday is a terrible idea unless you are only going to luxury hotels / restaurants etc and can afford to replace it.
Expected everything to cost more on the expensive side rather than it all really being focuses on the watch. If we're going from cheap casio EDC to expensive watch EDC, you should have something in casio's oceanus line there.
3:20 you can’t compare a huntsman multi tool to a Benchmade Osborn, and you really need to carry both a folding or fixed blade knife and a multi tool like a Swiss Army knife or a leatherman/Gerber.
Try a Fisher "Bullet" space pen...takes up no real estate in your pocket.write underwater, upsidedown. Wether its 99 degrees or 99 below. Try a G-Shock watch. Can get a bulletproof watch in different colors for around $ 120.00 waterproof at 200 meters. And try a mini bugout by Benchmade. All these are proven badasses. And won't break the bank.....
Nice comparison, I'm ok with expensive premium items if it makes me smile! I am very hard on my gear so i try to find high value to quality . By the way sick pin storage....tell me more please. Thanks Maurice, From South Texas Matt
Love it...but the watch comparison is kind of unfair. The Rolex has zero alarms, no timer or stop watch, and no world time option. Lol

Honestly I love watches and knives, those are the 2 main things which I’d spend on however much is financially responsible (+a little bit probably😅) further I don’t carry a light or lichter (even though I should, I have a cheap but good wallet and I just have a small carabiner on my belt where I can clip keys on…
Gotta do the Montblanc pen to match the wallet. Everything else is cool tho
I believe cloud is considered the cheaper spoof of bacarat rouge. I personally really like prada paradoxe as a young sweet feminine scent
Amazing video as always! Very funny and interestingwhen you bring us these videos that compares different levels of EDC. Thanks again for your great work and effort!
Take care
Ye thanks. But what interest's you the most. I'm currently looking for what you guys like the most.
You can get good things for normal prices. I bought a random wallet at Wallmart 3 years ago the stitching is intact. It all depends on what you like
I bought a 150 dollar wallet and it was ready for the trash after 1 year. On the oither hand my dupont lighter purchased by my father when he was 20 still holds up 40 years later.
I fell for the Ridge Wallet meme once. Never again.
You could get a Titanium Apple Watch instead of the Rolex. Add the Stainless Steel band and it’s about $1000. Feels like luxury w/o the hefty price.
Carrying a knife is now considered an "Everyday Carry Kit" in Toronto. Never been to Canada but wow.
$55 being affordable ... speachless.
It's best you mix both according to your priorities
kislux versace bag is so cute
My actual always on flashlight is a keychain light by olight (I1R 2 Pro specifically) because it's enough for small regular stuff and so tiny it's actually always on me
I honestly think for non-smokers, a metal Clipper lighter is a way better budget option since you don't need to keep refilling it due to gas leaks
Well like seen in the video you can get a butane insert for your zippo
With you on the Casio wrist watches.
I would recommend the boruit v10, at 24$ very bright and compact with multiple other light options.
Great video dude! Would love to see your channel feature the Acebeam Pokelit AA sometime. That thing is a budget beast!
Okay, I might get that Casio, and those flashlights.
I would have went with a timed expedition watch vs a Hamilton Murph for watches. Nothing more utilitarian than a good field watch.
I absolutely love my bench made 940 Osborne and also have a 945 Osborne mor commonly known as the Osborne mini
Maurice, can you share the name of the pouch you put the sailor pro fountain pen into?
They have sadly moved into luxury slowly though :(
@ the price you pay these days for something with reliable build quality, rather than not good quality and made in china
Function always comes first. All the budget options you showed had the same, if it better, function than the expensive options. Some of us will always want the most expensive for no other reason than that.
If you do more than sit at a desk the EDC 27 is a waste of money tho the brightness is badass
Swap the montblank logo, the cheaper one will start feeling more premium too 😅
I love traveling the world and prefer Breitling or Panerai over Rolex-understated luxury that speaks only to those who truly appreciate it. But I will say it is a very nice watch.
Just the the LAMY safary and its the only pen youll ever need, its the only pen my dad has ever use and its the only pen ive use
Good video. Could have gone 100 different ways. Lots of watch upgrades that aren’t a Rolex. If put one of the new citizen or Seiko gmts as an option. But a new apple watch would probably be the “luxury “ version of a quartz watch
Lowkey hoping for Apple watch as "luxury"
Mechanicals may be luxury but man they're a deep rabbithole full of scary high tech analog stuff that wouldn't be safe to EDC.
Just FYI, you can go even lower with the Thrunite Saber. Relatively same design with a much higher output and rechargeable battery.
this just sent me on a rabbit hole looking at thrunite and I think I'm getting the archer pro v2. I like a lot of the features it has.
You need some Casio protrek or mudmaster with compass
Full dad mode watching this. 😂😂 Also, even if I was worth a billion dollars, I would never spend that much money on a lighter.
The art is to mix them both according to your heart
In term of pocket knige, personally i will go with the victorinox farmer, and aplerged and got the alox veraion for better grip
add 1 colt 1911
Bald Eagle noises 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
2 world wars bruder! God's caliber!
M1911 is a great gun though.
I carry .45 cuz they dont make a .46!!!!
@@fireandiron4181 but there is. 50
Glock 17 for the budget option, the Laugo Alien for the luxury option. (Glock 19 for those that prefer a more compact piece but I wear oversized and prefer the classic so 17 for me)
Ever since I bought a watch from AMZWATCH , My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
U should have compared the rigid wallet for high end.
Great video, however, personally, I don't think you can compare the Victorinox with the Benchmade because the huntsman has so much more functionality.
What part of Japan had the Casio gashapon machine? Do you think they will still have them? I will be in Japan in a few weeks from now.
For me Streamlight makes great lighting products
There's a wide variety of uses for these certain gadgets depending on who's using them. I personally believe in the quality of the product, and I think it's a myth that only luxury products can have good quality. Instead, we can choose from a range of options that offer a good range of durability.
I would switch the zippo lighter and the swiss knife into the luxury edc and then keep the luxury edc.
Great quality video!
DuPont has slim butane torch lighters that are more affordable, lighter and more elegant.
How would you say is the best way to start a business?
Nice video!
But why not choose the Ranger instead of the Huntsman?
Casio is the perfect watch brand. Tons of features that you'll never see on a luxury watch brand.
I'm from the part for the world where the things you showed as inexpensive are very expensive for anyone to own😅😅😅
Watched entire video just for AE1200, lol but I enjoyed
Great as usual 👌
I love the Video but I don’t get the knife. What do you Need it for in everyday Carry?
Try a Fisher "Bullet" space pen...takes up no real estate in your pocket.write underwater, upsidedown. Wether its 99 degrees or 99 below. Try a G-Shock watch. Can get a bulletproof watch in different colors for around $ 120.00 waterproof at 200 meters. And try a mini bugout by Benchmade. All these are proven badasses. And won't break the bank.....
Rolex GMT Master II is impossible to purchase at retail price. The grey market price is about 17,000.
Nice comparison, I'm ok with expensive premium items if it makes me smile! I am very hard on my gear so i try to find high value to quality . By the way sick pin storage....tell me more please. Thanks Maurice, From South Texas Matt
Love this content.
It’s not a expensive as a Rolex but personally I think the black Versace Medusa Pop watch fits better.
here's a suggestion for your next video - a plastic bag for EDC or a gucci bag.
