I was a little kid when my parents took me and my younger sister to see this in theaters summer of 91 and, my child mind was blown. Not only is there the right amount of fake prosthetic Arnie heads, an obsession kicked off in the original Terminator movie, but we also got a fair amount of Robert Patrick prosthetic fake heads, and some Linda Hamilton fake head action, too. Oh and the CG for the T-1000 was, ok, I guess, Lol. Not as cool as prosthetic fake heads though

T2 is the perfect sequel imo. It's all downhill from here. Terminator salvation had some good ideas but they made the resistance too organized. And Terminator gensys had a good idea for the first half of the movie. Alternative 1984 was a cool idea. But a poor second half and poor casting doomed the movie

      1. Forbidden Planet - Robbie was the epitome of a Robot in the 60's
Sadly Stars Wars failed to change anything (metal men)
      2. Alien was a game changer, a Robot that was soft n squishy indistinguishable from a human on the outside.
      3. Wall-E Brilliant animated tear jerker
      4. Ex Machina gave us, self aware, sentient and sexualy seductive.

The Protectinator. As a kid in the early 90's this movie was absolutely amazing to us and still is. We were just like John Connor. "Easy Money" This was during the birth of CGI and it was mind blowing, just like Jurassic Park. They didn't depend on it, they utilized it in its infancy. There are actually two sets of twins in this, the cop's and Sarah's. I honestly cried at the end the first time. I can't lie. "It's when there's nothing wrong but, you cry any way."

    • @TheatreFanatic1982
      @TheatreFanatic1982 Год назад +4

@VerowakReacts I really hope that you see this comment because it's important that you do. There's one other thing of the Terminator that you have to see and watch on RUclips because you couldn't see this in any ordinary movie theater at all. At Universal Studios Florida and the other Universal theme parks, there was a Terminator attraction called Terminator 2:3-D Battle Across Time.
This particular attraction came out in 1996 at Universal Studios Florida. James Cameron came back to direct the actual movie portion that's played in the attraction, as well as James Cameron was able to get Around Schwarzenegger, Edward Furlong, Linda Hamilton, and Robert Patrick to reprise their roles as the Terminator, John Connor, Sarah Connor, abd the T-1000.
The storyline takes place in the present time. Somehow, someway, Cyberdyne Systems is back and better than ever. There was a pre-show before the actual show portion. A character named Kimberly Duncan, who's Cyberdyne's Director of Community Relations and Media Control, is the host of the pre-show. She's put together a media presentation about Cyberdyne Systems and Skynet, and all of the different inventions and technologies that they've created so far.
Halfway through the pre-show, both Sarah Connor and John Connor interrupt the show, and they warn the guests about how Cyberdyne is a menace and that they're planning on stopping Skynet. They tell everybody that they have 5-minutes to get out before they break in. Kimberly Duncan then gets everything under control again and gets the signal back to her media presentation again.
Eventually in the show portion itself has live action stunt work on stage, pyrotechnics, and many other things. Sarah Connor and John Connor disrupt the Kimberly's presentation of Cyberdyne's newest Terminators called the T-70s. The T-1000 shows up to kill both Sarah and John. But the Terminator shows up to save them from the T-1000.
Then the Terminator and John Connor ride into Los Angeles in the year 2029 to destroy Skynet. Along the way, you encounter Mini-Hunters, an Endo Skeleton, and a stronger enemy called the T-1,000,000.
James Cameron said that since he couldn't make a 3rd Terminator movie for movie theaters, that this attraction is the conclusion to his Terminator series, and that this attraction is a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day. So whenever you have the time or the chance, you'll have to watch some videos of this attraction. 😀

It's always so interesting to see reactors go into this blind. The final trailer that came out just before the premiere spoiled the fact that Arnold was the good guy, so it ruined the surprise. I was lucky enough to watch this in the theaters when I was a kid. I wish I could fully articulate just how insane those stunts and special effects were back then. It truly heralded the beginning of the 90's action movie genre. The director's commentary and behind the scenes production footage are definitely worth watching; there are so many cool little details that went into this. Linda Hamilton trained extensively for the movie; that one-armed reload scene at the end was added specifically because she'd become strong enough to do it. She also smacked that mental hospital orderly with the broom handle for real, because the actor kept on holding back and ruining the previous takes. She also learned how to pick locks just for the escape scene. Arnold nearly broke his fingers when he tried doing that shotgun twirling trick and picked up the wrong prop. When they filmed the helicopter sequence, they really did fly it under the overpass; almost everyone was too afraid to try it because of how insanely dangerous it is, but the stunt pilot stepped up and did it _twice._ There are several more stories like this, so look them up sometime if you want.

All other scenes Edward redubbed John's lines of dialogue later because his voice broke during filming, but in the case of that scene, because of his character being in such an emotional state it was questionable whether Edward could have replicated that in the dubbing studio all that time later, given that he had never acted before at the time.

I used to wonder about the arm but remembered the one from the first movie was the right arm, this one lost his left arm. So it wouldn’t have really worked to replace it

When the chopper crashes and then the truck crashes at the same time, reminds me of one of those old super-dramatic pro wrestling matches where both wrestlers are lying unconscious in the ring at the same time in the middle of the match.

The TV show "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" is the best part of the franchise after the first two movies. (IMO) Please don't skip it even if you do skip some of the remaining movies.

I've heard that it was cancelled, so it doesn't have a full story. I'll be watching it for sure, Sarah Connor is amazing

There are two seasons of the Sarah Conner Chronicles and they are great! It ends on a cliffhanger that would have completely changed the plotline, but those two seasons fit in very well with the whole franchise.@@VerowakReacts

If you have only seen season 1 of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, then I have some great news for you. There were two seasons, so you have a whole lot of new Terminator TV shows to watch. 👍😊 @@3DJapan

Strong agree. While the first season was a bit awkward and slow, the second really ramped things up. I feel like too many Terminator fans just assumed a TV show would suck worse than the post-T2 movies and didn't give it a chance.

Wow, nailed the whole plot in the first 5 minutes! You don't see that too often in the reaction to this. Nice!

For all the focus on the awesome action I think the movie also has some pretty poignant observations about human nature, especially with Sarah reflecting on how a machine is technically the perfect father and that machines can learn the value of human life better than humans can.

The irony here is that even John couldn't explain to the T-800 why humans have value.

Sarah Connor is awesome I loved her growing up honestly they knew how to write strong female characters in the 80s and 90s they weren’t the insufferable emotionless robots they write today
