As someone who regularly gets sucked into the angry pensioner hellscape that is the MSN news comment pages, this hits home!
All those confused pensioners baffled by why their news site is burgeoning with stories about things that make them cross and make them click on articles to leave comments like "why am I seeing stories like this all the time?" Blissfully unaware of the algorithm they are reinforcing with each comment.
News Corp has been rage farming for years all around the world and the returns have been spectacular for them.
That last point was beautiful.

My nephew has a farm and it can offer *organic* rage, free of fertiliser. That.just might add engagement on a couple of topics, do you think?
Our follow-up marketing meeting has revealed he can also offer *free-rage* farming options, such as may be required for red herrings or flying pigs.

As an American I often look at my water heating pour jug and think, why hasn't anyone come up with a better name for this thing?
It's a bit like a 'water Otter' I believe. Personally I am disappointed that for all the nice words that the French have for things they use 'camping car' for a motor caravan (possibly RV in America).

I mean I can define it more or less but I have never been happy with the definitions especially since they don't really cover a lot of aspects that have ascribed to it. Rage farming or Rage harvesting has been a thing for years in the gaming community. Along with rage quitting.
Done right, it is pretty amusing.
That guy who just got arrested for the Pentagon leaks.
His gaming discord community were known for it.
Rage harvesting using a government intelligence platform is some next level trolling i wouldn't advise as a weekend hobby though.
Perhaps start small first, say, the next Tory party conference for instance.
