Here he has a fateful meeting and subsequent love affair with beautiful Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. A time of passion and music, sun and romance which saw the transformation of Cohen from a fiction writer into the international songwriter, poet, and performer he was born to be.
I live in the states and I really want to view this. I’m in the middle of reading Leonard’s biography “I’m Your Man”
First: L.Cohen was half a meter shorter. second who is the author of this painful thing (not film)?
You are correct, but I note that Peter O Toole did a great job playing TE Lawrence who was almost a foot shorter than the actor.

@@teodelfuego True, but TE Lawrence was not popular as a photographed figure in the media culture as Cohen was, and therefore the height difference was not an issue. But this guys looks nothing like Cohen. The actor in the series being shot on Hydra these last weeks (oddly, with the same title) is much more fitting, in every way , including his height, 5.8ish. Now, about the dreadful acting/dialogue in this video clip......
Despite the questionable acting (we call this a 'B Movie' in the states) the actor is all wrong for Leonard-- way too tall and imposing. Meanwhile, there is a new series (with the same title) just filmed on Hydra and Norway and Montreal coming out next year, in which both actors playing the leads really fit (Alex Woolff is Leonard), and, it is not playing into the populist 'enduring love' myth, but telling more the truth.
Where can I watch this film? It's been taken off Apple TV.
Hydra...The beach has small rocks mixed within the sand. Marianne did not complain as she swam among the waves. The sand between her toes fell off as she walked up the stairs to Leonard's apartment.
Please let this happened n just dying to watch the whole movie pleessssss…

Have Adam and Lorca seen this mess? L.C. might dig being 6'5", but moi, as an old Cohen-head, I think it sucks...( and is the red head, THE Nancy, the sad woman who committed suicide? Why make so-called bio pics when the person can't defend themselves?

He is not handsome enough to play Leonard Cohen. I’ll probably watch anyway hut come on! Leonard was hot!
