Perfect Pivots in Foxtrot

Included is technique used in pivoting action, 4th position footwork and how to turn the upper torso to get better pivots.

In the mid-1980s my wife's friend asked me to show her how to do a pivot on the dance floor of The Officers' Club in Guam. She really had never even danced the foxtrot before, so it was a real challenge. I guess since my wife told her I was a former Arthur Murray instructor, she thought it would just take one quick lesson on the fly.

This is NOT the true Foxtrot!! American Dancers should realise that unless they learn the ISTD or IDTA International steps their interpretation is no more than a ''social shuffle '' !!
