Best continuous pivots lesson for waltz I ever saw. Most helpful. An essential lesson in waltz.
brillant demonstration.great for learning pivots
Fantastic breakdown! Really needed that.
Thanks so much for this, it’s been so useful. We already do the natural pivots but they’re always a bit of a struggle.
We love the way you describe the technique of how to execute the steps and all those special gems of information you include are sure to improve our pivots. Thanks again!!!!!
Great lesson, guys! Very clearly explained and helpful. Hope all is well!

Thank U so much!

Good lesson👍
Pivot and Spin.
Pivots make me so anxious. Every time my instructor puts them in my routines I internally freak out!
Tell him why you freak out. If you struggle with them, your instruction should be sorting out why. But you must let him/ her know
Thanks for the wonderful lesson!
For any of us who have a hearing problem and don't want to miss anything is it possible and economic to enable written comments on screen?
What is the name of the song you are dancing to?

Thank you for this enormous clarity. In the past I was taught to never drop the back heel going forward or backward. When I practice your correct method, it keeps the weight shifting forward more easily. As Kora strongly releases her back heel to the toe, her foot comes off the floor in the turn. Is this something that happens naturally for the lady? I was taught to skim the toe on the floor as I go past the man and to always keep the feet on the floor. Am I restricting the momentum?
I have watched several world class dancers doing pivots on slow motion using settings on RUclips and your observations and experiences are similar to mine. Katushka Dimidova rarely if ever drags her toe in an arc across the floor in fact most time its swings well clear of the floor and flying to get into position where she then pauses as she pivots on it and then takes off again.
Excellent video. Where is your studio located? Chuck
16:00 Natural Spin Turn, Pivot on 6, moving forward, to start the Spin Pivots 1& 23 1& 23…… for 2 full turns.
Im struggling with pivots. Im an experienced competition dancer. I didnt think there was any rise in continuous pivots
14:30 Lady’s nose tries to reach her L elbow for added centripetal force in forwarding pivoting action.
Confused!!! Two 360s in three beats of music. Are the following terms to be differentiated, or do they refer to the same thing?
Natural Pivots.
Spin Turns.
Spin Pivots.
Also, do you ever do Reverse Pivots?
1:30 Play with the weight.
