- It's time to go outside our comfort zone: Beyond Pokemon, and to one of my favorite challenging franchises of all time: Castlevania. Can we traverse through the six levels of this game as Simon Belmont without a single scratch? Or will we be stonewalled time and time again? Well, grab a snack and a beverage, and find out!

Ah, one of those shiny new non-pomemon challenge runs you were mentioning! I can't wait to watch!
Edit: About 7 min in and loving it! I especially like how you slow down the footage to show off the more tricky maneuvers. One criticism would be to maybe explain a bit more of the mechanics for the benefit of those like me who have never played the game before. Like, I am confused why you need at least 15 hearts to fight the Medusa, when I assume the hearts are health and you aren't taking damage. So, why would you need hearts at all? What purpose do the hearts serve, if not health?
In short: Bosses have 16 health bars like Simon and the hearts are because of the usage of the holy water sub weapon, also the hearts are for your sub weapons (holy water, dagger, cross, axe and stop watch) that you activate pressing Up + B in the classic games.

Some non card game yugioh games could be fun like falsebound kingdom or capsule monsters or dungeon dice monsters. Jus an idea to stay close to the comfort box lol
Some suggestions for no damage games are, Zelda 1, any classic nes mega man game, Metroid, shovel knight and castle of illusion (the original or even the remake)
This is very good content, I've seen no damage runs but it's cool to see it from someone who isn't a dedicated speedrunner!
Splatoon 2 or 3 pacifist story mode is one that hasn't been done yet and sounds really cool to me. It would probably be a minimalist challenge on the first world, but it still sounds cool.
I love how at 8:12 the skeleton spawns in, SEES the holy water and his face is just "Aww F*ck thats coming right at me"

Also if you want more games in specifically the Castlevania series to do a challenge run on, well Nyarly has a challenge for beating Aria with only the handgun so that could be fun. And there's always the classic "Can I beat Harmony of Dissonance without taking damage" because I just like Harmony.

As for challenge runs, uh, are there any for the Metroid games? I've been playing those on the Virtual Console and been having fun, so maybe there's some challenge you could try?

I'd love to see the Megaman X games no-hit next, I think it'd be a different experience from something like this. Alternatively, something more in-line with this game that I'd like to see would be Zelda 2 for the NES. That'd be cool, too!

Man this just feels crazy to watch, I have played this game thanks to the collection and man dying happened a lot, I'm still stuck on dracula (even though I'm pretty sure frankenstein and flea are actually harder)

One idea I had for a challenge would be yugioh master duel completing solo mode without spending gems / crafting points.
basically only using given cards / free pulls from secret/legacy/25th packs to construct a deck.
A follow up could be taking that same deck and seeing how far up the rank ladder it could go.

Tip for stage 8: If you never stop moving, going max speed towards the stairs, climb immediatly without stopping, then nothing will hit you

You should do an undertale challenge where you try to go damageless for both pacifist and genocide route. Of course don’t overwork yourself and work at your own pace

If you want to do more Metroidvania style games, Shantae is a game series that exists.
Battle Network Damageless is probably something Gamechamp's not going to do, considering she already attempted another RPG damageless and that sent her to the depths of insanity

I can't beat it without getting hit but it's stupid when people say it's difficult. Maybe to those that only other game they played was Mario but compared to beating Abodox, it's a breeze.

Two facts that you have neglected although I feel as if this wasn't part of your strategy but still something to mention. The stop watch will freeze the first two bosses. Also this game has Critical Hits so if you are lucky some times you can get 14 hits to kill the first form of Dracula.
Doesn't the critical hit system for this game work off of you hitting the boss if you get hit on the same frame? Or is that a different game function?
