Is Hikkaduwa Really THAT Great? 🇱🇰

- Times to go down to the beach and look around a little bit. I am planning on making two videos of Hikkaduwa and see if it is actually so great as they say. There is a big hype around this very touristy place in Sri Lanka, it actually being one of the most touristy places in the country, so maybe it does not come from nothing, right? Of course after the Corona pandemic things are different anywhere, but tourist seem to be flocking back into the country, what I noticed here in Hikkaduwa is that there is a big community of Russians present, something that actually kind of surprised me considering there being a war right not at the moment. But anyway, let's look around a bit and go to the beach, and do keep in mind that it is still the rainy seasons and some days are better than others.

Wow 😯 I'm very surprised to see there's a Russian language using Hikkaduwa. Last time I visit there 7 years ago it's only English language using in those shops as i remember.
And those wine stores didn't own by the government, but you have to take permit from government. And as i know there's rule that those stores can't use other than green colour nameplate and have to use only white colour letters. And those own by local businessmen ,not government

Great beach shots and the dramatic weather!! It looks like the monsoon but that don’t put off all the ‘ whities’ who have come half way round the world!! Rain or shine …. On the beach they will be!! Hehe!! Glad they are helping out with Sri Lanka’s economy!! As for that ‘ spot ‘ I thought it was my cataract!!! …joking!!! Glad it disappeared… maybe abit of condensation???

No. The government is not running wine stores. Owners must get a special license to run a wine store which is very hard to get. If there's a school near area of 500m, they cannot build a wine store in that area too

Guess this is the first time seeing quite a number of Western tourists in your video. No wonder Hikkaduwa is considered touristy. A nice beach there but alas, those dark clouds would ruin your outing there with the family. Yeah, there's a blurred spot right in the middle of the camera len....is there for roughly 10 minutes. At first, l thought my glasses is dirty but after cleaning, the blurred spot is still there but it goes off after you have wiped it. Not a big deal anyway, still enjoyed watching. Thanks for your great job, Sir.

Why are u always compare Sri Lanka with India? Sri Lanka is a totally different country from all aspects than India. We have totally different culture , Food, etc. Actually we dont like the way that forighners treat us as a part of India..👍
