Thanks for that. I don't have a chalk line, so I just used a homemade string plumb line between the two end brackets then lined up the middle brackets to the string. I also added a baseboard first as I had some spare timber. It rained last night and it works a treat!
@Tholius to stop the downpipe (round pipe coming from the guttering to the floor) from dropping/moving you could put a small screw through bracket into the downpipe. Hope that makes sense
Very informative thank you. I've got a shed with a large overlapping roof so I've bought a 2x4 for it to extend out to reach the drop. There isn't any place to drain it so I'm creating a barrel pond for the extra runoff that don't go in the water butt. Please pray for me I'm useless at this stuff, I got no one to ask for help and disabled with weak wrists, so this will be "fun" 😐👍
Hi, its a straight forward job if you just take your time! Another good thing to add is the guttering as it prolongs the life of the shed. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for your really nice comment, i try to make my videos informative but not too boring 🤣. Hope you like the rest of my videos, dont forget to subscribe!
Hi, im glad this shed guttering video has been useful. I moved the shed away from the fence to make the job easier, then i pushed the shed back once i had finished!
To be honest, it is really easy to install guttering. Just take your time, and don't forget to put vaseline on the jounts/rubber of the guttering to make it easier to assemble.
Video shows both ends done with gutter clipped in place but he would have had to take the gutter off again to fix on the centre clip and as someone else commented downpipe at the end of video appears to be on a different shed.
Hi, i can assure you it's all on the same shed as it's my shed. It's just that some of the footage was filmed on the front camera on my phone, and that reversed the video image As for the guttering clips, you can just work your way along the guttering as the clip it in
I notice that you've painted over all the felt nails along your shed, just wondering which waterproof paint you would recommend, I was thinking of using everbuild black jack.
Hi Chris, im confused by your comment! At the start of the video i am standing next to the finished product/guttering. During the video i install the guttering and diwn pipe and at the end make tge set for the down pipe!
Where did you get the pvc gutter? Does this come in a kit or did you purchase individually? Is there an amazon link or did you purchase from hardware store lowes or Home Depot? Thanks and great vid! I
Hi, Would it be best to purchase the guttering from a local hardware store. You can get the accessories (joints, bends, end caps) from amazon. The links i posted ate for the Uk. Thanks for your comment 👍
Hi, yes in the uk there are a few types of guttering and different profiles/shapes. Once you have identified the style of guttering, then the guttering parts are easy to obtain and very cheap.
Hi, i moved the shed once i installed the guttering as the shed was empty. As the fence is a concrete post and panel construction, i could have removed the panels.
Cheers Fowler. Just fixing some guttering today myself. So ideal tips esp the petroleum jelly for the rubber seals. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Cheers for the comment MMG, glad its helped you out! Don't forget to look at my videos and subscribe if you like what you see!
@@FixitwithFowler already subscribed mate. Keep up the videos.
Great video, just bare in mind that petroleum based products will attack rubber, silicone grease is the recommended lube for rubber.

Hi, that's a good idea 💡. Half these jobs don't require specialist tools, but they definitely help and speed up the job. Thanks for your comment!
Just found your video. Excellent job. You kept it simple and loved the PVC piping you used as a down spout. Thanks so much for posting.
Hi, thanks so much for you comment. Please subscribe for more great content!
Great video. To stop the downpipe dropping, I put 1" self tapping through the brackets and pipe with a neoprene washer between the pipe and bracket.
Hi Liam, thanks for your comment. Thats a good idea 💡!
Glad you add value. But for those of us new to DIY, can you break it down into simpler terms/explanation

Where can we buy half round and brackets in Canada?
Hi, sorry I don't know. I'm based in the UK.
I am confused. He starts off with the downpipe on the left hand side of the screen and then finishes with it on the right!

Thanks im kind of newbie so i assume the parts are called 3 inch guttering ? Sorry for the questions- guttering joints, guttering bends? Thanks again!

Hi there does the roof felt sit inside the gutter at all ?
Hi, yeah, just a little bit as that ensures the water definitely ends up in the guttering
@@FixitwithFowler thank you so much 👍
No problem 😊
How did you get shed and guttering up against fence?
Hi, i moved the shed once i installed the guttering as the shed was empty. As the fence is a concrete post and panel construction, i could have removed the panels.
What about on a metal shed?
You can use the same principle, but to fix the guttering, you will need to use self tapping screws or nuts and bolts. Hope that helps!
where is gutter best buyy from
A large local diy store would be best! Hope that helps?
Gr8 videos.. Ive learnt a lot.. Thanks
