I like the blue of Distance with Dovetail. Works really well together, making the dovetail less muddy.
I recently painted Dovetail on lower wall and Crushed Ice above with white ceiling. Love how they compliment each other. The white ceiling really makes the crushed ice pop. the crushed ice is a great neutral color that looks light grey at times then a subtle beige other times
I’ve used extensively and it tends to read slightly blue to me. It is lovely and a real workhorse. I have used on cabinets in kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Gold hardware sparkles with Dovetail. Oyster White contrasts with Dovetail beautifully.
Just painted our house. Dovetail was a close choice but we went with Agreeable Gray and used Dorian on our accent walls. We get a lot of natural light and I love how these paint colors work. Sometimes grey, sometimes taupe, sometimes pale green, and even sometimes pale blue. It keeps the house from becoming stale and is far from boring!
L-O-V-E this taupe, Dovetail, so much. It is a perfectly balanced taupe without too much brown. Feels like a warm, rich, saturated grey. Now, I want to paint my whole house this color. (Gray-ters need to go watch the beige videos in all their yellow-warm glory.)
That has been my color of choice for 3 years! I love using it to play with other colors.

Can you advise what trim you would use with BM Delaware Putty please?
I actually just got an 8oz paint sample in this color. I love it but I have a tent that blocks sunlight on my windows; it's making finding a color that I like impossible. Any idea for natural color or neutral color?
Love Clove as a trim color. Guess I'm not the norm...I have a darker paint color for all the trim & doors in my home. ❤️

Does Dovetail go with SW Shiitake?
If I wanted to paint a fireplace wall that has a cabinet along side. Should I use two different style of paints? Like a matte for the wall with a semigloss for the bookcase and trim (painting the floorboard same color as well) love dovetail!

I’m trying to figure out how I ended up with 3 quarts of this color in my garage. I’m not sure I like it since it looks beige to me & I feel like beige is so dated. It just seems all the grays I bring home end up looking blue & have zero luck finding a true gray… 🤷🏻♀️

Hey I’m wanting to paint my interior all white, do I need a different type of paint for the trim or can I use the same as the walls? Thanks!
I always recommend going for a higher sheen level on doors/trim for extra washability, so for example, eggshell on walls and semi-gloss on trim/doors, and flat for the ceilings.

Our whole house is Alabaster. Could we use Dovetail on our great room TV wall? Would those two points go together?

Yes and no!
What happened to colors. Everything is grey. Depressing.
Not a fan of the oval color spots. Not as focused/clear looking.
