  • The GTD developed a big coolant leak, so we ordered replacement pipes and hoses and fitted them all in the correct order.

My fan was not connected to the thermometer when I first got my mk2. This video showed me some great coolant insights :D. Also my temperature gauge does not work. Is that an issue I could fix by removing the entire instrument cluster? Or is there a shortcut?

The sensor for the temperature gauge will be a on your oil cooler. If yoi see in my video there is a wire that goes to a spade connection on top of the oil cooler. (I think it’s a blue and black wire, I’ll comment again if not). If that’s plugged in and it’s not working you’ll need to replace the temperature sensor .
Glad you found other parts of the video useful :).
If you’re struggling to find the temp sensor let me know and I’ll do a short video on how to find it

Hi. How did you solved that issue? I'm having the same problem with the fan.
