Hey Nate… Thanks for introducing this new addition to cellular antennas. I am seriously considering utilizing a 4x4 omnidirectional antenna at home. I know the Quad Mini is supposed to be omnidirectional, but more options are welcome. Could you mount this outdoors and test its effectiveness versus the Quad Mini and/or other antennas.?? Also… I know Peplink has a round 4x4 similar to this as does Parsec. The ‘Great Pyrenees’ (Parsec) is bigger than this one and probably‘stronger’. I know you don’t specialize in mobile stuff, but there is no reason you couldn’t use this at home - is there.??? Thanks for all you do.!!
It is definitely possible to use the antenna at home and I have both the pepwave and parsec mobile antennas that I can compare it to. Stay tuned! I'll make sure the video is edited right too!
Do you think the downward part of the gain graphs help with your return signal (like when talking to someone via the phone), or will it only augment received signals? What if you have no gateway but want to use your T-mobile connected phone as a hotspot? Is there a WeBoost sort of device that would take the place of a gateway, which I envision as converting the cellular network into a local wifi network? We are considering a signal boosting setup for a vacation house...think this would be a part of the solution? Lastly, at our home where we use a T-Mobile Home unit that seems to need frequent rebooting whenever our TV (Roku) reports 'no internet', would a stronger signal prevent that, or is that issue simply related their inadequate capacity to handle primetime demand for data on their network? Thanks for sharing...and hopefully helping to decipher my use cases!
I love your video's and all the reviews, tips and tricks. Please.. Please.. invest in a decent Mic it will go along way in improving your content. For a decent bang for the buck. I would recommend DJI Mic 2 Wireless. They are small rechargable, great audio quality. They have great gain settings and very versitial. Again thanks for the great content.
@@NaterTater Oh don't get me wrong, I think you have a great voice and persona. I just mean with a tiny bit of effort you could make your videos look and sound more "pro" and give this brilliant channel the attention it deserves. I think the above comment about audio is valid, but I wouldnt change the equipment, I'd just appy some acoustic treatment to deaden the sound reflections in the recording space, it sounds thin and echoey because of all the bare walls. Just trying to help ya
@slymebuoy I appreciate the comments. I do try to react and improve. Just check out my old videos! Gopro built in sound an a room with all hard surfaces. Now in the basement with carpet and drop ceiling that is better but still not a studio.

Great video, thanks for sharing. You are very clear and concise - an increasingly rare trait on the internet.

Oh geez… It wasn’t that big a deal. I was just shocked.!!😳🤔
I’ll be watching for the omni-directional challenge.!!
Thanks Nate.

Tater looks like the little kid from the old 80’s movie called the Toy with Richard Pryor lol

@ddennis002 thanks for watching! I have two DJI Mic 2's and a Rode videomic pro+ shotgun mic. However my vocals are not good.
Its just room reverberation, sound treatment would go a long way. Better lighting would go a long way in making the vids look more professional
@@slymebuoy I could be wrong but it just how my voice sounds, gravelly. To me the video sounds "normal" for how I sound in person. 🤷♂
