I can’t even laugh at this because I’m kind of astounded at how genius this whole bit is
I thought the same thing the first time I ever heard that bit. On another recording he does it a little bit better with a much better crowd.
he IS that funny wow
This is a genius bit.
I just saw him live and this is the realest experience. He did an entire new show and it was absolutely genius. I was stunned how brilliant it was. It hurt me how many people in the theater didn’t realize and how the jokes went over their heads. He’s truly a comedians comic. Insanely funny. A master at work.
Criminally underrated
I’ve been a Regan fan since he was eating free snow cones in right field
grape!
@@n3rds3y3vi3w Or cherry!
His just for laughs set back in the day with the "bop it" and "barking dog" bit is soooo good
Even if you play a half game you still get a whole snow cone
The cherry isn't as favorite!
If I’m ever in a bad mood, I can just watch Regan and he instantly brings a smile to my face unlike any other comedian.
The best clean comic out there. Been that way for decades.
Don't forget Jim Gaffigan..but I agree, Brian is awesome
In my opinion, the best comedians out there are Brian Regan, Tim Hawkins, and Jim Gaffigan. All three of them happen to be clean comedians.
My friend's kids introduced us to his comedy in '96. My whole family and theirs listened to that whole hour something routine until we had memorized every word. To this day my family will still recite parts of it depending on the conversation. Every time my daughter leave the house, we do the whole "Take Luck" routine as she's walking out the door and all to way to her car. "Sure to see her again" I say from the house as she pulls out of the driveway
I dont get it, what is clean/unclean?
@@henriccarlsson9052 no cussing
He is such an underrated comedian.
A natural
maybe to audiences, but comedians regard him as top 5 usually.
Was going to write that.
Is he though? People tend to hold him up as gold standard.
I disagree. I think he sucks and I have never heard good comedians describe him as top 5. In reality, hes not even top 20
I don't know what girth means, just dispatch the truck.
One girth unit
I can’t see the NUMBERS.
That's the toids im working on!
"...please" :D
@ I don't know what the weight IS... and I, uh... don't know what girth MEANS.
Regan is one of my all time favorite comedians. This is a brilliant example of how a comic sits on an idea for a while discovering over time how one joke relevant to the idea opens doors for other nested jokes. By the time the different avenues have percolated, he then pieces them together in a seamless tapestry for a 5 minute segment. We see the end result, but man I’d love to see his notepad.
Regan should've had his own sitcom years ago
He's too great a stand-up.
He’s got a Netflix thing where they splice in skits of his jokes, but it’s not the same.
mrshmuga9 yeah and it’s trash
The level of genius in Brian Regan's work has grown tremendously over the years. His comedy is original and ingenious
He plays dumb but comedians never are. Kevin hart warns people mouthing at him that they don't want to do this and he will win.
"The yellow one is the Sun"
it's a cup, with dirt in it. i call it, 'cup o dirt'
@@chrisj6917
Try not to grow corns in it.
@@chrisj6917 Just put an F on it and let me go home!
Cat... K-A-T I’m outta here.
I know there’s two T’s.
Nice of Brian to drop in and remind Jimmy what "comedy" is.
Yikes, I think I can smell the brimstone of jimmy's hair from here...
I couldn’t believe the audience didn’t laugh more, then I realized this may be the first time they’ve seen a true comedian. They were sitting there like, “What strange goings on?“
Exactly haha!
@@donavanmcelroy6263 the comedy on the left is foul.
@Joey Webb
Ha! And i was just thinking "man. I keep wanting to laugh at his jokes. Who finds him funny?"
And the fact that u dnt like JF makes me think "oh. Psh. So im normal."
Ah jeez. I originally meant this as one of those."lets laugh at this situation together" kindve thing and now its just an insult.
"Well, it's a cup ... with dirt in it. I call it - CUP OF DIRT. you should move on now ... just go ahead and move on ... head on down the line there".
I had to watch this twice. I wasn't exactly sure I watched it the first time.
weenermeat that was a little complicated
Brian Regan is amazingly hilarious, I saw him open for Carlin 20 years ago, and he was funnier than Carlin that night. He has still got it.
So many people put Carlin on a pedestal but when I hear him on the radio, I've never heard a more miserable person complaining more about everything than anyone I've ever known. Gripe comedy isn't really my thing.
@@EmpyreanLightASMR Carlin was curmudgeonly in his last decade, but earlier stuff was always more zany and cerebral...
Remember everyone was like this Jim Carrey cousin? Lol
He had the same facial expressions
no he doesn't still got it though. This was fucking awful lol
I cant compare one comedian to another, each style is radically different, but I agree with most of the comments made to this post. Brian Regan is exceptional and underrated, and to quote Forrest Gump; "that's all I have to say about that".
The magic and brilliance of Brian Regan is that he is a “clean” comedian. Never any cursing or sexual related material.
SHUUT UP
I agree, Michael. It takes more talent to be clean-funny and it’s more enjoyable to listen to.
Hearing him curse on Comedians Cars Coffee was like seeing Bigfoot!!
Joshua David I did not see that or knew that existed. I am going to go and watch Bigfoot! Thank you for that. I guess Brian had a moment of weakness! 👍🏻
I've always enjoyed Brian. So funny and his physical comedy is so good. Didn't use it much here but check out his other sets. WOrth it
Yeah I don’t think anybody’s going to check him out based on this
It's so true. I saw him recently and his physicality is so underrated.
I’m a simple man. I see Brian Regan, I hit like.
Many much moosen.
Jessica Berg And a few Boxen.
In the woodsen!
Take luck!
"Brian...you're an imbecile."
They're both favorites.
Brian Regan's "I walked on the Moon" Special is in my top 10 all time comedy specials.
Jimmy Fallon is like the sleep paralysis demon you see in the corner of your room
Exactlyyy
He should do a lot more with that "suffering" premise. So funny.
Just look up the bit about him going to the hospital.
This crowd didn’t get the bit and just followed the “applause” sign.
Yup. Dipshits.
Myself and other Brian R fans absolutely love him... His humor is one of a kind!!
No cursing, no sex, none of that, and hes still a giant in the comedy world.
It's been a long time since I've seen Brian's content. I have missed him.
Love all his specials. Jim gaffigan too.
Say Eight! SAY EIGHT!
I watched that bit for the first time within an hour of coming home from the hospital from a major abdominal surgery. I was laughing so hard I was crying and it was really painful. I had to lay down on my side so I could laugh and not hurt . I Walked on the Moon is one of the best comedy shows I've ever seen.
Brian Regan got my son and me through weeks in the hospital after a horrific surgery to remove a tumor in his spinal cord. Thank you Brian for your genius, kid friendly humor and bringing laughter into a Children’s hospital in a very dark time. We can always count on you to bring a smile to our faces!
Eternally grateful…
His chicken musket hearing test bit is a classic, never gets old for me
"Why dont you find the self help section yourself?" Every "Karen" in the audience asked to speak to that guy's manager.
Just such a clever and funny guy. He seems like he is almost always on the verge of laughing. Always puts a big smile on my face.
I need some 8...gimme 8....ask for the 8!
Common Sense... “Say eight...day eight!”
One of our favorite lines and used for some humor on a couple of ER visits due to sports injuries!!! LOL
That's a beautiful set. It's actually amazing how that all works together
My books are organised by size and colour in my lounge so they look nice.
Ya kook
My Blu-rays and DVDs are organized by color, the first letter of the movie (but not alphabetically), and which side the face image is at on the spine.... Yeah, I've got issues! LOL
@@JSC178 Mine are too including all my video games. But that's not necessarily me being OCD, that's just a way to easily find a title instead of everything in no particular order
The only proper way to do it.
Oh how I have missed Brian Regan! I haven't seen any new material from him for years it seems. SO good to see you again!!!!!!
I saw Brian the first time in the 80's do his stand-up routine at the Irvine Improv and I almost needed to be resuscitated from laughing so hard.
The ending could have been better, but still, that was the best short stand up set I’ve seen anybody do.
You can’t have seen many.
I don't suffer from my issues.. I just make everyone else suffer instead.
Forgive me if i sound bossy, but could you please check that notification by your name, its really bothering me. Bunch O'thanks! 😊
@@-PURPLE-HEAD DAMN, you beat me to it. :sigh: thumbs up, you win! It coulda been worse though...it coulda been that avatar that makes it look like you have a loose HAIR on your screen!
Love Brian man, great comedian......His brother is really good to!
This guy is a legend! I wish he’d done a few big movies back in the day, but it’s never too late!
It's nice to see him back with new material. I have a feeling that he's a favorite with other comics. He is very funny.
Brian in a suit! Never seen that before.
🤣
“So I decided to buy a book about it. I got to get to the bottom of it somehow, right?”
🤣
Next level thinking right from the top, and continued on to the bottom. Absolutely brilliant comedy. Circling back again, using the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shelves as themes for the beginning, middle, and end in his search for the answer. While in the end, he just wrote the book on doing a self contained bit on OCD. I wonder how long he obsessed about closing that loop in just the right order, rofl!
🤣
PS: Yes I checked to make sure the stove was off. Now that you bring it up, I may have some O.C.Tendendacies too, and Thanksgiving was just yesterday after all.
Honestly, that's probably why Brian Regan is such a good comedian, and so good at call-backs.
I forgot to lock or close the back door once when leaving home for work. You can bet I never made THAT mistake again! I just wish I could remember if I didn't CLOSE or LOCK the door fully...
As long as Brian Regan lives he has great material for a stand-up bit. LOL
"Check out this book shelf. It shelves your books for $20." ... waves customer along ... "Check this one out: Shelves your books. For $100." ...
Is there any cursive?
@@ZmoPaR You are right. That would be a nice feature.
What would you do with the meat drawer?
@@WinterAlbiero That made me TRULY lol...😆😆
For some reason I though Brian Regan had faded away, but his material is as strong as ever. It’s honestly wonderful to see something more personal from him
Cleverly hilarious. Glad to see someone funny on the tonight show. He could host.
My favorite comedian of all time. He's even better LIVE!!! Go see him if you get the chance!
I love Brian regan. Me and my friends have been watching his stuff since we were kids.
I seen him live last summer. He's great
This was so funny in person, love you Brian Regan
I love Brian Regan so much! The only comedian who made me laugh so hard I got an asthma attack! Lol
Still one of the best Cleanest comedians out there.
One of the best..
The greats- if you will!
Been watching Brian since I was a child. Extremely great comedian!
God...best stand up I've seen in ages...😂😂😂
I love me some Brian Regan! Hilarious dude!!
"Your preaching to the choir here! Dont need to tell me"
My favorite line cause its super true on what he means
Most every comedians favorite comedian. Says a lot to me! Never seen him dress up before.
"Why don't you try to find that yourself?" That cracked me up! 😁
He’s my favorite comedian, glad he’s still going strong. 😁
BR is one of the all time greats!!
After listening to almost all great American comics I can say I like Brian Regan the most
I love Brian Regan, but the 'self help' gag is Steven Wright's: "The clerk said, 'if I tell you where it is, that would defeat the purpose'."
Just seeing his regular face on a thumbnail makes me laugh more than I do at most comedians.
I love Brian Regan, he is hilarious!
I have pretty moderate/sorta severe OCD and it actually really sucks.
I found some of this pretty cringeworthy myself.
A+ on getting the joke both of you
@haut_strange, yeah, I would imagine that puts you right there with everyone else who has ever been medically diagnosed with any disorder. Guessing not too many folks saying, "the doc just said I have this disorder, it's great!". I'd bet even Brian agrees with you (even if he really only has OCPD). He didn't make it sound like he was enjoying it.
RageDaug you seem to be misinterpreting what I said and attaching a meaning to it I didn’t intend or even say.
Nicole Czarnecki I mean I thought it was hilarious personally.
Another great bit in the great Regan collection
He's awesome, saw him in CT in 2009
I walked on the moon!
That was incredible
Go my favorite sports team go!!
LOL !!!!! I sometimes organize clothes in department stores when the racks are messed up . . . don't even realize it at first . . . .LOL
I got free tickets to this man’s work when I was 16…I did not appreciate how good he is at craft at the time. I love him now.
He’s a master of comedy!
I always put stores back into order.
One of the most underrated comedian in USA
How on Earth did he come up with all of this that is just too funny that is the most complicated comedy I've ever heard yet so intriguing and hilarious with the whole OCD bit
I really like these longer form jokes
Brilliant.
Now how many donuts do I have left?
I don't have OCD, but I am close to this level with how I organize my books
Brilliant
Hey LADY: I thought the whole POINT of a self-help section in a bookstore is that the self-help doesn't start until you find the SELF-HELP SECTION foist!
you just made me understand the joke lol
@@CameronBrtnik dumbass
When he writes the date at the bottom of page 1 🤣
Have had the good fortune of knowing Brian personally, as he has befriended my son who has autism and OCD. He is even a better person than comedian !
Pure Genius
Perfect
I can relate to this.
A clean comic - that is actually funny. No use of profanity or degradation of another human being. Bravo, Brian Regan!
I'd comment, but I'm too busy straightening the fringe on my rug.
My OCD is so bad, I have to call it CDO.
The ocd bit is deep comedy. Well done. Like he said, "aok."
solid bit. line after line. solidly written.
and he has the best closing joke from his album I Walked the Moon.
The self-help joke went over everyone's head.
regan back at it again, great set
Brian Regan is hilarious 😂
HE'S ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS :)
Greatest stand-up comedian of all time
That's the most dapper I've ever seen the Regan man.
ohhhhh that hurt. His old stuff is so good though!
Yes. He is completely hilarious. But something as important as the tonight show, and he does THESE jokes? Doesn't make sense.
