great video thanks for sharing I'm building tools now 4 acoustic guitar building I've built my 30 inch thickness sander off of different ideas on RUclips I am a lifelong woodworker and I never dreamed how many specialty tools and jigs it would take to build a acoustic guitar

Thanks, Rickey! I didn't really plan on building stringed instruments as a line of work, but once I got all the tools to make one instrument, it just made sense to keep building.

Interesting build. I've built two bending irons, one small 1.5" diameter and one 3" diameter. The larger one uses a 200w light bulb to heat and the other uses a cheap cartridge heater. Pretty simple and mounted vertical on a guide board and held in my woodworkers vise. Are you on the FB Ukulele Luthiers group?

Yes, I wasn't quite ready to shell out $200 for a bending iron. A little ingenuity goes a long way! What did you use for the different diameter bending tubes? Thanks for tuning me in to the Ukulele Luthiers group!

PS .. I have run 300w lights on it as is ... but if you want to operate something really powerful you can just have the switch operate a relay that will handle whatever megawatt project you're making..
