Make sure to have protective gear when working with wood

Frábært ! takk fyrir myndbandið þitt
! I am learning to make ukuleles AND Icelandic. As soon as I clicked your video and heard your accent I knew you were Icelandic and I couldn't believe that my two passions coincided... Rúsínan í pylsuendanum. ;-)

Sorry about the focus in the intro - Used autofocus by mistake and the camera is not good at focusing on close-ups

unless the temp nears 400F or 200C the fumes shouldn't be a problem unless there are other coatings.

Looks great! What size was the pipe you used?

When making guitars I use a large aluminum pipe but this time I wanted a smaller type and I just used what I had and I think the pipe is 2" or about 5 cm or 6 cm diameter. I do not recommend galvanized pipes, the fumes are not good for you. So if you have to use a galvanized pipe, remember to use a mask.

I learned to use only a little water instead of soaking it for hours. This little amount of water turns into steam, and this is above 100 degrees C. I don't know if a long soak is bad or just not necessary. Any ideas?
BTW, nice video. I subscribed immediately!

what thickness do the sides have?

I had mine at 1.7 mm the top is softer wood so I usually have them at 2.2 mm for ukuleles

Do you use the same process to bending classical guitars or it is only for ukulele?

You spent 4 minutes introducing your process. As usual I had to fast forward past all that unnecessary narrative.

the galvanized coating (zinc)shouldn't present a safety issue until temps close to 400°F(200°C) are reached...
