@MeMyselfandGuitars He got the outer layers of the 4 layer tower to match up with the pieces on the inner 2 layers, so that there were 1x2 blocks. This way, if he only turns the inner layers after this, the 1x2 blocks will stay together, and he can treat it like a 2x2x2 cube.
@oncecursed1 I thought that at first too, but then if you think about the "shape shifting" as solving a 2x2 with extended pieces, it's not that confusing.
in canada, get at calendar club ps on the rubiks website it shows it with white oppisite blue. where did you get yours? because yours has normal color scheme
ive seen some tutorials on how to do that cube out of two rubiks 2x2x2s by making holes on top face and down face on one of the 2x2s and then making pieces of the other 2x2x2 in the holes. but i ´m not very sure if the upper layer if it will drop when making the tower scrambled or not. do you know anything about this? :/
that's wierd. redkb's 2x2x4 came with a japanese color scheme, but urs came with the american color scheme. about the logo. they actually use the logo in japan because it's a oficial puzzle in japan and redkb got his 2x2x4 from mefferts. where did u get urs?

To solve a 3x3, a layer method or fridich method will help me solve the cube faster?? I am using the layer method which my average I about 1 min

Rubik's doesn't make stickerless, and I haven't heard of any other brands that make a 2x2x4.
