There are tons of videos out there about great plays and bad beats, but there aren’t many about poorly played hands, players on tilt, ego betting/raises, and poorly timed bluffs because of bad reads. “ what is wrong with you? Why do you have so much aggression? Ok that guy called. So what?! He had 5 big blinds left. Clearly a short stack having to move eventually, so why are you being so rude? It’s a poker tournament, if you want fight do it to me. I’m old enough to be your dads father. Well the thing is it probably worked out a lot in cash and to chip up early in tournaments. Regardless of buyin, most tournaments will have starting fields heavily weighted towards players outside their element that were just taking a stab. The hyper aggressive strategy will railroad those players when they have to decide for their tournament.
Her reputation is used against her among other top players though. Even then her approach works because she can come off as polarized in every hand. I also think her game was less 'be hyper aggressive' and more playing the range/capped ranges game and would identify those high leverage spots to ship it in. The first hand in particular plays on this range bit because Kevin has to decide if she's ever running a bluff in that spot. He's never in good shape if the answer is 'no'. She turns the game on its head and makes the player decide 'are you fucking with me or do you really have it?'
