Truck driving is an immensely rewarding career choice that offers individuals a unique blend of independence, responsibility, and financial stability. Obtaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is the first crucial step toward entering the trucking industry, opening doors to a plethora of opportunities. With a CDL in hand, aspiring truckers embark on a journey that goes beyond mere transportation; it's a lifestyle that involves navigating the open road, connecting communities, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods across the nation. In the world of trucking, a CDL is not just a license but a passport to a diverse array of experiences. The demand for skilled drivers continues to rise, making truck driving a dynamic and secure profession. The essence of trucking lies not just in the movement of cargo but in the sense of accomplishment derived from overcoming challenges on the road. Trucking, with its CDL prerequisite, offers a fulfilling career where individuals become the backbone of the economy, driving progress with every mile.

These are not secrets to anybody with a little trucking knowledge. It’s just regular information
Thank you for sharing your thoughts but a lot of people are new in the industry and needs this type of knowledge.
You can have 5 or 10 yrs exp and all you have ever know your whole career is general freight in a dry van, with an automatic volvo. 1p1d.
“GAS”?? Smh 🤦♂️
These trucks run on DIESEL FUEL!!!
You also forgot the basic concept of getting your highway authority without your highway authority as a full-fledged owner operator you can NOT haul freight for hire by yourself
Second majority of things that you’re talking about is already sewed up by mega carriers so therefore the perspective “owner operator” would have to be leased on with a “mega carrier” who will then cover your running authority, your base plate, i.e. registration, and your insurance that you have to compensate the carrier for from your settlement and in some cases will be charged a rental fee to haul their trailer(s)
Furthermore, what you’re also describing is what’s called “power only“
Thanks in part to your videos, I passed my CDL up here in Cana-Duh, and I got hired on Friday for HAZMAT running.
Congratulations on passing your CDL and getting hired for HAZMAT running! That's fantastic news!
@@CDLDrivingAcademyCouldn't make it happen without the bald head of knowledge. LOL
really important information. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Just wanted to say thanks your videos helped me alot through school!! I took my road test today and past all 3 parts my first attempt! I'm the first student that has past the first try in along time from there.
Congratulations on passing all 3 parts on your first attempt! That's fantastic!
Love these videos been watching for a while, do you do podcasts?
Yes. You can search our podcast "CDL Driving Academy Podcast". Thank you for your support!
Thanks for the Info 🙏
I'm glad you found the information helpful!
fuel is about the only hazmat that's going to pay well. other wise its a joke. I'm giving mine up this year.
Thanks
Warning! The revenue DOES NOT cover the overhead! I noticed that he failed to mention that part. 😢
Thanks for pointing that out! Appreciate it!
Have to have MC and DOT number if you're getting your own loads. I'm sure some of these big companies allow lease on which then you don't need your own MC
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this video!
I drove for a small company a few years ago and after taxes made 3000 a month. I just bought my own Kenworth and flat bed last weekend and now I’m starting the paperwork for my own authority. I wish I could make money with the truck while I am waiting. That C12 cat sure purred up I-5
Just upgraded my CDL-B of 20yrs to a CDL-A with Tank & Hazmat a week prior to attending CDL School I had a Tow Away Incident/Accident in a 7 Axel Water Bottle Straight Truck loaded around 76000 lbs on a narrow unlined steep downgrade passing two staged CMVs on a Bonded Road in the Ohio Oil Field as I passed at 20 mph my CMV
The Loss of Control ticket was mitigated down to NO POINTS Out Headlight but the Accident/Incident shows on MVR so no one I can find (with countless hours of searching & 100s of phone calls) a carrier
Now I've been driving with my cdla for two months & 2 months prior with a Mentor Trainer for a Self-insured carrier hauling Grain and Feed here in Ohio but for the lowest wages of my career
Any ideas on a carrier that would hire me?
I'd be happy to pay for a lead that will hire me
