    The molle 2 sustainment pouch holds a surprising amount of gear .

    When I was recon in Vicenza late 80s early 90s, we had the old Alice butt packs. They are awesome, but the system as a while works better with the H harness. We were issued Y harness, but were allowed to switch out for an H. We used an extra ammo pouch for admin as well. Very comfortable and balanced when set up properly. We also used 550 cord where the harness attached to the equipment. Hella quiet that way.

      @@richardschafer7858 Very nice, yea the alice butt pack was definitely intended to be attached to the belt and suspenders. I didn't like how that raised the hole pack slightly taller than the other pouches though; especially when wearing a rucksack and the larger variety of butt pack options of today.

    Waistpack is made to double as a sleep carrier system can run straps on it thru bottom of aloce pack or filbe or ilbe pack

    Good video. I have an ATS belt that is an odd number, and it drives me nuts because I can't get anything centered. Probably going to try the Russian one for it. Where did you purchase the Russian one?

    • @D13Airsoft
      @D13Airsoft  Месяц назад +1

      I got it from Greyshopru before the war in Ukraine kicked off. I think you can still order from them but a lot is constantly out of stock. If that doesn't work then check out ebay. If nothing else works, check out some Russian gear B/S/T groups on Facebook. -Case

    I always found the Blackhawk enhanced Butt Pack to work well when I ran A.L.I.C.E. gear on the paintball field.

      That's an interesting design. Are those belt loops big enough to wrap around an ALICE pistol belt?

      @@D13Airsoft it definitely does. Blackhawk had a massive gear line with those loops in the late 90's and early 2000's.

    Argh!
    The Buttpack is copied from the Euro bread bag. There us a common utility strap or the same as with the two qt canteen. The strap is also on the field wire spool. Thry were popular as free hand strap fir rifles. The hook through the front sight triangle.
    The strap hooks in at the same points as the harness. It can be worn as a sidebag abd attached to the belt euro style. Even on the chest from around your pencil necks. Its your go to town bag for foraging. ( Slack pack,) It holds a poncho, your mess kit and utinsils, canteen, hygiene, stove, liner. Your spend the night bag at your buddies. Bit without the strap the monkey calls the foraging bag a butt pack..

    How does the velocity systems buttpack handle weight?

    • @D13Airsoft
      @D13Airsoft  Год назад +1

      It handles it very well; however, there is a lot of space to pack something in it so I would recommend a bungee strap to keep it from jiggling around.

    Try lowering your battle belt to the widest part of your hips and sinch it down. Your rucksack shouldn't rest on your buttpack. The kidney belt for your ruck rides atop of your pelvis. By lowering the battle belt you take out nearly all of the horizontal slop and a good deal of the verticle slop. Your ruck will fall away nicer as well when you pull the quick release straps.

      Funny you mention this, I was thinking the same thing recently. This was a carryover from when I would wear LBE setups with too many pouches on the front of the thighs. If you had it too low it would make running and going prone a bit difficult. I fixed the issue since but forgot the effects the raised LBE when wearing a ruck.
      Since lowering the LBE closer to the waist it's made a ruck much more comfortable.

      What about having body armour over webbing.
      Being a small guy the webbing will probably be close to touching the armour.
      I need a ruck that fits with this system, currently looking at the British short backs, but idk.

      @@D13Airsoft I'm trying to remember way back :). I was a skinny guy at the time and I'm certain I had several pouches on. Now I need to see if I can find a pic.

    • @D13Airsoft
      @D13Airsoft  6 месяцев назад

      @@svenvanwier7196 That can work too (I've seen guys in Ukraine doing this with heavy battle belts) however, you need to have very slim shoulder straps/yoke. I like to have a PTT taped to mine for my radio. If I want to move COMs to my body armor then my kit is no longer completely separate... everything is a trade off.
      As for the rucksack. If you lower your LBE enough, many rucksacks can work to a certain extent. I'm currently messing with the British MK3 Virtus Bergen now and will review on the channel after a year. So far it's better at compensating LBE (even with the kidney belt) but only a little bit. -D7

    Before this even started I’m going to say the Rothco replica of the orginal gi is the best.. it’s made of nylon not canvas so it’s water resistant already and other then that feature the orginal gi Alice “field pack” (there is no such thing as a “buttpack” they are called field packs!)
    Again there is no such thing as a “buttpack” they are field packs.. they were mounted to the belt on LBE gear and to the back on lbv gear..
    If you’re going to make a video like this you should actually understand what you’re talking about and you’re way wrong on most of this to include the “jiggle” I mean idk what “jiggle” means tbh..
    Have you jumped with a pack on? I mean what are you comparing here lol.. most of these pictures you’re mounting to a belt and mounting the belt to the belt not the field pack.. that’s a huge mistake.. the field lack has its own suspender attachments points for a reason..
    Now if you want to fully utilize the field pack system you don’t run canteen pouches you run the Nalgene pouches and you can tire the edges of the pack into the Nalgene and because it’s rounded it works this way.. you can save 2 columns of molle alone on the pack here plus the Nalgene need just 2 columns themselves vs the 3 of a canteen pouch..
    Everything has its place and purpose.. the my is setting it up properly for your body type and use..
    I got a 30” waist so I’ve had to learn all these tricks to fit my gear.. and no flame here but maybe in airsoft you can get buy with sacrificing or not having something.. in the real world that will get you killed.. don’t think your experience is typical or realistic.. a “floppy” pack is funny.. you don’t run in combat.. he’ll your barley walking and in cqb calling it a slow walk would be an understatement at best..
    In combat you have 2 positions.. slow walk under sights or optics moving methodically or dick in the dirt prone.. there is nothing else.. there is no run to this position or that and get cover.. if you need cover it’s dick in the dirt get as low as you can

      Your off your meds lol "buttpack" is a slang term, any pouches mounted to the rear can be considered a buttpack if they are large enough. Your arguing about semantics. The buttpacks should be mounted to a belt so you can drop your main ruck and still have a little pack with you with simple items like cleaning Kit, spare socks, bug dope and a ration or 2 stripped.
