Here's my advice guys, 1. log out of chrome, opera , or whatever you use 2. right click your background a white thing should come up on your screen 3. press refresh, go back in and try your sound now Also guys please don't hate i'm just saying because it worked for me,
I liked the video. I just got a new motherboard on my hp laptop cuz the original one was a bad one. I have been trying to get sound back cuz I was trying to listen to something on RUclips. I have windows 10. plus I even tried a different search engine too. I just noticed a device in the USB port that says logitech is that a sound card.

for me the issue is that I don't get a windows media player error but non of my audio devices are working on my front or back pannel but with the exception of my monitor, as I rewired some cables (to improve cable management) do you have any ideas as what I can do to repair my audio jacks (including microphone jack) I am pretty sure my front pannel wires are connected correctly.

FOUND problem SYSTEM SOUND volume in mixer on taskbar with volume icon was muted? I dont know how this turned itself off? Never mind ALL FIXED now.
